Do you think the queen is really poorly?

As in dying 😔. I know she is very old and fragile at 95 but I do wonder if she is trying to keep going until the Royal jubilee.

@GeneLovesJezebel

Very sad that they’ve, apparently, not brought Lillibet to meet her.
Do you think she cares? The amount of great grandchild she's got, just another baby surely?
LaurieFairyCake · 14/04/2022 22:09

Yes, it's very sad (not for her, it's time for her to rest)

We have lived through the longest period of anyone in the throne in Europe

It's just incredible

Redglitter · 14/04/2022 22:09

@MVision

Yes she is - the newspapers have had the nod - it's why meghan and harry have come over
They haven't come over, they've gone to the Invicitus Games in the Netherlands

Shes 95, she had covid recently & lost her husband of 73 years last year. She's just growing old & needs to slow down

My gma is exactly the same age as the Queen and she is very very tired atm and doesn't really want to see anyone. We pop in and see her, when she is dozing often, and drop her bits she needs. I miss her vim and vigour but am pleased she is still here

meditrina · 14/04/2022 22:10

Obits and funeral plans are reviewed regularly.

If anyone notices it happening at the moment, it'll stoke specuiation.

But that's just confirmation bias acting on a routine and normally unnoticed activity.

Sod's law means that someone's review date will be just before the actual event

LetsGoCrazyPurpleBanana · 14/04/2022 22:10

Since hearing Harry has recently visited her,I think she's worse than they're letting on :(

SpringIsSprung1 · 14/04/2022 22:10

Harry and Meghan have caused so much stress to the Royal family. I find if hard to believe that they have not caused her worry and great sadness. Not good at the Queens age for sure.

LaurieFairyCake · 14/04/2022 22:10

Yes, the grandchild of her son who ascends to the throne is a big deal (sure she's got others)

I also think they should bring her Sad

Starstar7 · 14/04/2022 22:11

@theyhavenothingbuttheaudacity

It would be so sad if she didn't reach her jubilee
She reached it on the 6th February this year.

Tradition dictates that it's celebrated later in the year as the actual date was also associated within the death of the King.

Housetreecar · 14/04/2022 22:11

She’s 95. How many 95 year olds do you know who are still working. She’s an old and frail lady. I don’t think she’s any more ill than other 95 year olds and probably significantly less than the majority but it’s hardly going to be surprise or the century if she does die soon,

Harry and Meghan haven’t made a particularly special trip. They are going to Holland for the invictus games so it would be more surprising if they hadn’t managed to make a detour to England. They didn’t rush from California especially to see her but Harry will know, purely because she is so old, if he doesn’t come now he might not see her again

RosesAndHellebores · 14/04/2022 22:11

I agree with combatbarbie. To lose a husband at 95 must be almost I surmountable. Also, despite the luxury the Queen has worked incredibly hard for about 35 years longer than most people. Whilst her mother was over a hundred I don't think she worked anywhere near as hard as her daughter had to during her last 30/40 years.

I very much hope she is not in pain.

LaurieFairyCake · 14/04/2022 22:11

When did Harry visit her recently ???

EdithWeston · 14/04/2022 22:12

They haven't come over, they've gone to the Invicitus Games in the Netherlands

Well, they have, it's been confined.

But it was en route to Invictus, not a free-standing trip.

There had been lots of commentary about whether they should stop off whilst in Europe, so it's not really a surprise.

Abouttimemum · 14/04/2022 22:12

We all got told to update our operational plans for the queen dying after prince Phillip died, in quite an intense period of making sure we had everything in place, but in all honesty it’s gone very quiet on that front other than some speculation (as per on here!)

LaurieFairyCake · 14/04/2022 22:12

Goodness that's today ! I had no idea they'd come

Absolutely agree

I think it's odd that Charles and camilla have dropped out of attending tomorrow's service too

Somethings afoot

millytint44 · 14/04/2022 22:13

She's bloody marvellous and I think deserves to put her feet up a bit before June's celebrations. She's probably conserving her energy.

SparkleSpangle · 14/04/2022 22:13

@LaurieFairyCakeLaurie Literally today

mum2jakie · 14/04/2022 22:14

Do you have a source for that?
TheUsualChaos · 14/04/2022 22:14

I think she has just become very frail the last few months but I don't sense any other major issues.

Meltinthemiddle · 14/04/2022 22:15

Do you think she will stand down after the jubilee?
