Looking forward to the Sue Gray report as well.

Sue Gray will be very interesting.

Marking place. Surprised Rishi hasn’t gone he’s no chance of making PM now.

^^posted from last thread …

Boris is a wanker & should be fired

Blossomtoes · 13/04/2022 21:10

It seems at least some of them get it.

Another MP said they were deeply worried about further revelations and a “drip-drip” ahead of the local elections and the final Gray report. “Each one of these will come as a hammer into the nail of the Tory coffin and what the PM is doing is implicating all the MPs in this. We are in an a long, slow death march.”

Running tally of how many Tory MPs are likely to want to see the back of lawbreaking PM Johnson, or expected to cling on to his rotten leadership.

If you have a Tory MP, please write to them. This shocking situation should not be normalised.

Thanks cakeorwine

Roussette · 13/04/2022 21:20

Thx for thread Smile

Downing Street I wrote to mine this afternoon. Not that it will do much, he's one of the worst and on the 1922

DowningStreetParty · 13/04/2022 21:23

Thanks for the new thread. Since this could be a while, I’ve brought suitcases of wine, M&S picnic food and cake for us all.

DowningStreetParty · 13/04/2022 21:30

Same kind of deal here Rousette Sad

Roussette · 13/04/2022 21:32

I've only got 9 minutes to scoff that lot!

itsgettingweird · 13/04/2022 21:32

I absolutely love your username in relation to this thread 🤣🤣🤣 I know it's not new but it's just so hilariously apt.

cakeorwine · 13/04/2022 21:35

Just wondering if people from the previous thread are going to join?

Last time I think it was discussing Johnson's intelligence

Thanks for the thread 'Cake!

littledrummergirl · 13/04/2022 21:48

As expected my mp is lying low. Still no response from her. The more time she ponders her honour by debating with herself over the most politically astute thing she can say, the less likely I am to vote for her next time.
I'm in a marginal area and will be making my feelings known.

Peregrina · 13/04/2022 21:49

Yes, here from the last thread.

Derxa offered the opinion Raab is an ignoramus Boris not so much

Johnson may be able to spout Latin and know about ancient history but I think we probably all know people whose intelligence is very one sided and I would expect him to be one of these.

DuncinToffee · 13/04/2022 21:59

I am here too, thanks cakeorwine

HalleLouja · 13/04/2022 22:11

My local MP is one of the ones Borie Johnson needs to worry about apparently. We are in a Tory strong hold and they think he would lose his seat if there was to be a GE now.

Hopefully the risk of MPs losing their seats will be enough to make them do something. If they don’t have a moral conscience that is….

DuncinToffee · 13/04/2022 22:21

A One Show item introducing a new Nixon film

Dan Stevens: “What you’ve got is a criminal for a leader who is wrapped in a messy war, embroiled in a stupid scandal and surrounded by ambitious idiots and really should resign … I’m sorry that’s the intro to Boris Johnson.”

BBC news at 10 seemingly implying that this was the most minor fine and there could well be more...

AmbushedByTheCake · 13/04/2022 22:25

It is a sorry state that the cake apparently didn't even leave the tupperware, according to The Mail

Blossomtoes · 13/04/2022 22:28

@TokyoSushi

About six more apparently - all more damaging than this one. And just before the local elections. Such a shame.
TokyoSushi · 13/04/2022 22:29

Ah, Twitter says there's actually 3 more fines to come, including one for a party in the Downing Sreet flat, that's really bad!
