Random things that were big in the '90s.

I'm trying to make up a quiz for a friend's birthday based on things that were popular in the '90s, plus I was just having fun reminiscing with another friend. So I wondered, what random and lesser known things do you remember being popular back then?

Riverdance is one I remember. That was so huge back then and I was obsessed with it and Michael Flatley. I remember watching Eurovision live when they had Michael Flatley and Jean Butler perform and being blown away by it.

Inflatable things I remember we're really popular. And oversized clothing.

StanleyTheCrane · 08/04/2022 19:20

Also does anyone remember these?

I know them as telephone bugs. I'm not sure what their actual name is but I felt like they were everywhere in the late '80s/early '90s.

That's a good one, thank you!

And speaking of inflatable things. Did anyone else do a lot of sponsored bounces as a kid or was that just my school?

Oh yes. How could I forget Mr Blobby? He was terrifying yet still everywhere. I'm going to have that song stuck in my head all night now. I can still remember the lyrics.
