Random things that were big in the '90s.

I'm trying to make up a quiz for a friend's birthday based on things that were popular in the '90s, plus I was just having fun reminiscing with another friend. So I wondered, what random and lesser known things do you remember being popular back then?

Riverdance is one I remember. That was so huge back then and I was obsessed with it and Michael Flatley. I remember watching Eurovision live when they had Michael Flatley and Jean Butler perform and being blown away by it.

Ski pants (poss late 80s, v early 90s) and slouch socks. Bit sad that slouch socks didn't come back when leggings did.

Wearing ridiculous amounts of gold jewellery - hoop earrings, claddagh rings, (claddagh anything, actually).

Big thick elastic hair bands. Not me, I had a a big thick fringe instead.

Platform shoes

Over the knee socks

Tartan skirts

Shout magazine

Writing "notes" to friends

Internacionale/Au Naturale

Peach schnapps

Long vodkas

Listening to Moby, All Saints, Fatboy Slim and Morcheeba before nights out. Thinking that might have been The Beach soundtrack?

Peter Andre and 911 coming to my school.

@Ikeabag

Ooh - does anyone remember the Smirnoff Ice Judderman adverts? They may have been in early Y2K. "Beware the Judderman, my dear, when the moon is fat..." Jack Dee John Smiths advert too. And the Guinness one with the horse. "Tick followed tock followed tick..."
That was such a weird ad
