Can anyone recommend me a gripping podcast?

Preferably British and preferably true crime

I've whipped through all seasons of The Missing and really found that interesting. Was less interested in Fairy Meadow and I don't really like American OTT hosting styles

I've listed to a few UK true crime podcasts with Adam and they're ok but a bit .. dull. Think it's the narration style

Any recommendations please

Drink women solving crime is excellent!

Surprised there is no mention of “Trace” - Australian and very well done.

And “the lighthouse” too.

I like Real Crime Profile although Jim Clemente doesn’t look like I thought he would.

Tony Walker’s “Classic Ghost Stories” is perfection if you like that genre. It got me through the darkest days of my divorce.

The Lady Vanishes. Australian, plenty of twists in the tale. The latest one is quite shocking and it's not the end yet.

Redhanded

Who the hell is Hamish?

How do you listen to a new podcast, assuming its not a series.
I tend to start a few stories in. That way the podcaster has got into their own style and settled down. If I like it I'll go back to the beginning.

I have just finished Bear Brook after reading recommendations on this thread

It was absolutely fascinating. So disturbing too. Definitely one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to

I listened to Magpie on Criminal (episode 186) on the way to work yesterday abs has to redo my makeup it’s such a touching story. I really enjoy Criminal it’s not about serial killers or criminals but about people’s experiences often told by them

Loved Paradise. I cried at one episode towards the end

I listened to Bear Brook this week too @HRTQueen and was also hooked, found it fascinating especially because there are answers at the end of it- lots of true crime podcasts are maddening in that you listen for 10 episodes or so and at the end you still don't have any answers, just lots of theories!

I have also been listening to a really lovely Podcast called: Finding Natasha, it's a true story and also fascinating, also with a nice outcome at the end of it.
