I don't know how to tag my last thread. Having people from Ukraine staying.
Ours guests arrived yesterday afternoon. 2 mums (sisters) with a toddler each.

The reason I'm crying is this afternoon a delivery was made by someone in our area
of a toddler sized slide and a swing. Some gift cards and letters were posted through our letter box
welcoming them to our town.
All anonymous. I think it might be people from our street(it's quite a long one) so can't narrow it down.

I'm not crying because I'm an unemotional bitch but well done and good for doing a good deed.

What kind of slide is it

I'm in Brussels and it's been amazing the response here. Housing, offers of work, food and clothes delivered where needed. Help to get rooms ready with extra furniture and bedding etc. People volunteering at the railway stations so there is a clear welcome and instructions of where to go/what to do next. It's wonderful how people come together. It's so lovely that all your neighbours knew in advance about your visitors so they could do something to help.

I just wanted to say thank you, not only for what you're doing, but also for restoring my faith in human nature. I do wonder, however, how this devastated country is going to rebuild? Please tell me, it won't be by quick fixers, looking to make fast money. The Checkatrader, Clickmobile, etc. Sadly, I have no faith in a partying government. I have sent an email to my local MP, who will do nothing. I'm saying nothing about that M'lud.

@Mumsos22 you've picked totally the wrong thread

FWIW no your dc will be fine. Ratings say very little about the school. Have you visited it? If you like it, it will be fine.

I wanted to start a new post. I'm very new to this. I don't know how to delete my comment. I'm sorry if I offended anyone. @Northernlurker thank you for your reply.

You can report the post, if you're on the app there's a chevron to click on. Did a new post pick your topic then there should be a new post button. If you look at he primary education topic tonight there will be lots of pitas like this tbh. Try not to worry.
We sent our kids to the local comp, couldn't afford private. We picked the one we liked best and it's ok, on the up but like all schools it had ups and downs. Our oldest two have left now. With fab a levels and top university places including a medical school place. We could have spent thousands for the same outcome! Support your kids, give them the books and the chances you can and they will be fine. The school is only a small part of the journey.
