A horse, an actual horse, complete with carriage outside my house and secured it to my drainpipe!

That's epic, OP!
Back in the day before foot and mouth, my free local newspaper was delivered by horse and cart (yes, I did live out in the sticks). Smile

FairyLightPups · 25/03/2022 18:58

Pleaseeeee post a photo OP

Mumdiva99 · 25/03/2022 18:59

@SpidersAreShitheads I nearly choked on my coffee at your comment. My laptop was almost covered. Grin

Gazelda · 25/03/2022 19:00

Has the horse got a name? Can it be Gazelda please.

I once went on holiday to a farm and some calves were born while we were there. They named one of them after me. I often wonder how the calf is doing now.

FusciasBright21 · 25/03/2022 19:00

We still have rag and bone men come round with a horse and cart, we also see horses tethered on the verges quite a lot too which makes me Sad for them.

HorsePark · 25/03/2022 19:00

I’d say I live semi rural. I live in a village but it’s only 5 minutes drive to a supermarket.

@Veryverycalmnow

Wow, that wasn't what I was expecting! Photo? You can blur out the horse's face to protect his identity.
😂😂😂😂😂

Yes, I do see this quite regularly. Just not normally to my house! 😂

A few times a year there will be a post in the local FB group to say ponies are running loose on the green.

@HorsePark

I’m not sure how tall 14.2 hands is but it’s back is level with my shoulder and I’m 5’3”
Bet it’s a Welsh section….

But now you can canter to the supermarket!

This thread has to go to classics for the sheer quality of the replies.

DH "Is that Shergar?"
Me "No"

TyrannosaurusRegina · 25/03/2022 19:11

I wish this was true!

nocoolnamesleft · 25/03/2022 19:14

So you want us to believe there's a horse tied to your drainpipe? Not that old chestnut!

Bluetrews25 · 25/03/2022 19:15

Penguin bollards are not going to fix this one, OP.
Is she friendly?

BruceAndNosh · 25/03/2022 19:16

@HorsePark

It seems pretty chilled. It’s got blinker things on it’s eyes
Ah well, that explains it. Ask any Audi driver and they'll tell you you can park where you like as long as you put your blinkers on
Jewel52 · 25/03/2022 19:16

So intriguing!!!

AndAsIfByMagic · 25/03/2022 19:18

Post of the week!

MissSteak · 25/03/2022 19:24

Come now, come now. Rein it in chaps.

Honeyroar · 25/03/2022 19:25

Has it had any water? Or been stood in the sun unattended all afternoon.

FangsForTheMemory · 25/03/2022 19:35

Have you got a bucket handy?

Wincher · 25/03/2022 19:35

I think the OP is just trying to stirrup trouble here.

MrsClatterbuck · 25/03/2022 19:35

Years ago I worked in a small market town surrounded by a lot of farms. They used to hold fairs monthly and the hallowtide fair was usually a special one including a sheep fair and they used to tie the sheep to the railing outside our building.

BobbyeinArkansas · 25/03/2022 19:36

Sigh. I love a Friday evening parking thread. Superior diagrams? Pictures? This thread keeps on giving.

Marylou62 · 25/03/2022 19:37

I so want to join in with the puns but I'm useless.. I'll just enjoy yours..
My DD used to bring her 16 hands horse into our garden.. We live on an estate.. All the neighbours used to come for a stroke...
