A horse, an actual horse, complete with carriage outside my house and secured it to my drainpipe!

@nocoolnamesleft

So you want us to believe there's a horse tied to your drainpipe? Not that old chestnut!
Not chestnut, black Grin
comfortablyfrumpy · 25/03/2022 19:40

My kids used to go visiting to my parents. On ponies.It was a bit of a squeeze getting round the side gate, but they used to go in the back garden and park up for a cuppa.

WiddlinDiddling · 25/03/2022 19:43

Is it like this OP?

WiddlinDiddling · 25/03/2022 19:45

Or more like this pic on the main page here www.ivccarriage.com/blogs/ivc-carriage/level-shafts

I'd go and talk to the horse and ask him if he knows whats going on.. he may say yay or... neigh... :D

Nnique · 25/03/2022 19:51

Ahh I like it. Another photo please!

Don’t know any horse puns sadly.

aloris · 25/03/2022 19:52

Excellent drawing of a horse, by the way.

Jackiebrambles · 25/03/2022 19:53

@Veryverycalmnow

Wow, that wasn't what I was expecting! Photo? You can blur out the horse's face to protect his identity.
🤣🤣
LoisLane66 · 25/03/2022 20:13

It's a sulky. One of those 2 wheeled things you see attached to horses and being raced by 'travellers' up in Cumbria.

opinionminion · 25/03/2022 20:19

This must be a night-mare for you, they must have left it there on the spur of the moment Grin

TabithaTittlemouse · 25/03/2022 20:21

I want one.

I really liked your drawing and diagram. Gold star.

TarpaulinEyes · 25/03/2022 20:27

Do you think the owner might be called Fanny Gallop?

Redsquirrel5 · 25/03/2022 20:29

The entire thread is great.

Loved the vision of the Christmas pony.

Our pony used to eat the apples out of the fruit bowl if the kids left the kitchen door open. If I was in the kitchen she didn’t but stood with her hooves on the doorstep and waited for a crust or a carrot.

Ponies don’t mind being tethered as long as the head collar is a good one and the road is quiet. Ours was on the village green opposite sometimes and the kids in the village loved her. She was the gentlest pony. I had friends when I was a teenager who bottle fed a foal who grew up thinking it was part of the family, as in another child. He was tiny and used to go in the sitting room, lie down and watched tv. It looked hilarious.

Would love a proper photo.

Angryalot · 25/03/2022 20:33

Do you live in Limerick city?

MrsLabelAndHerPacketOfBiscuits · 25/03/2022 20:33

@Bluetrews25

Penguin bollards are not going to fix this one, OP. Is she friendly?
