A horse, an actual horse, complete with carriage outside my house and secured it to my drainpipe!

Ignore me. You said your shoulder.

About 13.2

HorsePark · 25/03/2022 18:16

It seems pretty chilled. It’s got blinker things on it’s eyes

It's not a builder gone round to next door, is it?

IncompleteSenten · 25/03/2022 18:17

No photo?

viques · 25/03/2022 18:17

@BruceAndNosh

They've blocked your car in? I'm not sure how the Council can tow a horse away
That would be a decision for the mare to make I think.
stuntbubbles · 25/03/2022 18:17

Just someone trying to stirrup trouble. Can you get a knackered old horse you don’t mind leaving there for a while and block the first one in?

Northernlurker · 25/03/2022 18:18

Can you move the dog? Stressful for both of them.

Thoosa · 25/03/2022 18:18

Are you guarding the horse? Or peering through the window?

Hoppinggreen · 25/03/2022 18:19

@HorsePark

I’m not sure how tall 14.2 hands is but it’s back is level with my shoulder and I’m 5’3”
4 inches in a hand. Measure to its withers though Joking aside op does it seem ok?
Jackiebrambles · 25/03/2022 18:19

@Thoosa

That’s a fabulous picture.

The horse looks a bit embarrassed.

So he should be, he's blocking her in!
IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble · 25/03/2022 18:19

I only came for the photo but neigh...

Purplecatshopaholic · 25/03/2022 18:19

Best diagram on MN. Ever.

pussycatunpickingcrossesagain · 25/03/2022 18:20

Don't worry about your dog, he's just jockeying for position.

HorsePark · 25/03/2022 18:20

Yes, I’ve taken the dog upstairs she’s chilling on the bed with me now.

@Soubriquet

How completely random.

Unhook it from the carriage and hide in your shed.

“Oh no! He must have gotten loose”

Voila. Free horse

Grin laughed out loud at that!
CallMeBettyBoop · 25/03/2022 18:22

This thread is top notch! Time to rein it in though - don't want to saddle the OP with too many puns Grin

Finders Keepers. Congratulations you now own a horse.
HorsePark · 25/03/2022 18:23

I’m pretty sure we could get our car out if needed there’s a fair bit of room but don’t want to spook it.

Pumpfive · 25/03/2022 18:24

You have to show us a picture. Pretty please! This is definitely a mumsnet first for me!

SpidersAreShitheads · 25/03/2022 18:24

@HorsePark

Ok here is diagrams…
Just looking at your diagram, are you absolutely certain that's a horse? I'm wondering if it's actually a cat?

Mind you, good luck to the person who dares to put blinkers on a cat and tie it to a drainpipe. That cat will be plotting some serious revenge.

comfortablyfrumpy · 25/03/2022 18:24

Photo pretty please (though top marks for diagram).

Thoosa · 25/03/2022 18:24

I’ve just been pricing up removals. I reckon there’s a market for horse drawn house movers (green, cheap) if you can just find somewhere to stash it. Fancy a new business?

RosalindFranklinsphoto · 25/03/2022 18:25

Lovely drawing! 10 points to you!

comfortablyfrumpy · 25/03/2022 18:25

Can you quickly put up a private parking notice and attach a hoof clamp?

Sexnotgender · 25/03/2022 18:25

I love mumsnet for shit like this.
