A horse, an actual horse, complete with carriage outside my house and secured it to my drainpipe!

@HorsePark

Ok here is diagrams…
That’s such a good drawing of a horse, you didn’t need to label it 😂
Zonder · 25/03/2022 20:36

@kittensinthekitchen

Maybe he's your new neigh-bour
😆😆😆
ThisNameIsDifferentFromTheLast · 25/03/2022 20:37

This will be your new theme tune

😁
babycornfortea · 25/03/2022 20:38

I just going to leave this here...

Floralnomad · 25/03/2022 20:38

When we were kids we often took my sisters horse home to bath him , we lived on a normal housing estate - our neighbours were accustomed to seeing a horse or two parked in the driveway .

babycornfortea · 25/03/2022 20:38

@ThisNameIsDifferentFromTheLast you literally beat me to it!

Quackpot · 25/03/2022 20:44

@HorsePark

we also see horses tethered on the verges quite a lot too

Yes, I do see this quite regularly. Just not normally to my house! 😂

A few times a year there will be a post in the local FB group to say ponies are running loose on the green.

Oh my god you must live in the next village to me 😂😂
Amici · 25/03/2022 20:54

I came back just for the diagram and I wasn't disappointed 🤣 that little horse drawing is fkn adorable 🤣👌

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 25/03/2022 20:58

This deserves to be in classics for the quality of the diagrams alone... @mnhq?

Agreed

Here is another photo of the carriage/buggy taken from upstairs window. As you can see they ‘parked’ neatly between my No Parking cones! 🤣

We do get problems with people parking outside the property. At New Years we had a whole family of cars come and park, they then spent 15 minutes taking group photos outside the house. It is a nice background I guess.

Doh, forgot the photo

In all seriousness, does the horse have water and is it tethered properly? If not, I would report to World Horse Welfare or BHS Welfare (I’d not bother with the RSPCA, they’re worse than useless).

EdithGrantham · 25/03/2022 21:38

Why do all the photos look like they've been taken on the first every camera-phone, I call Shergar-nanigans on the whole tale. Love the diagrams though.

EdithGrantham · 25/03/2022 21:39

Ever* stupid auto-correct

HorsePark · 25/03/2022 21:47

Why do all the photos look like they've been taken on the first every camera-phone

Because they are taken through a window and/or super zoomed in to avoid too many identifying details. Grin

I would keep the pony - hth.

Mumtofourandnomore · 25/03/2022 21:50

Poor animal, it must be ex-horse-ted.

TonytheDog · 25/03/2022 21:51

With the price of petrol, I'd borrow it and go and do your weekly shop.

Damnloginpopup · 25/03/2022 22:12

Have you looked around for Tonto sprinting on the spot? I have heard that the line ranger often left his injun running.

Poshjock · 25/03/2022 22:15

It's not that uncommon to see this in the small town I used to live in. I lived near a little grassed area (part of the nursery garden in the town centre) and often saw horses grazing there. More common to see them with wooden versions of the racing carts as in the YouTube video above. We have many settlements around for the traveller fraternity and strong ties with a few big families and that's where the horses and carts come from.

StormyWindow · 25/03/2022 22:48

That horse is never going to leave now, I guess you're saddled with him OP (sorry, couldn't help myself Blush)

Quatrophoenix · 25/03/2022 22:52

@Marylou62

I so want to join in with the puns but I'm useless.. I'll just enjoy yours.. My DD used to bring her 16 hands horse into our garden.. We live on an estate.. All the neighbours used to come for a stroke...
