Here's an interesting one, and not exactly one to be proud of - it will be my second day as an inpatient in rehab.

That is without a doubt something to be very proud of.

inmyslippers · 25/03/2022 19:50

On my own with my son. Will get out on a walk and get a takeaway for tea

Having covid, not going out as planned for my BIRTHDAY and being cross. Probably eating lots of cake to attempt to alleviate my crossness.

Imissmoominmama · 25/03/2022 19:53

Going for a walk with my dad and sister. Mum died 3years ago.

My kids are all grown up and aren’t local. They’ve bought me a joint gift which I love, and wasn’t expecting. I’ve also noticed DH hiding cards Grin.

My youngest DD is here and we are having MIL round for lunch (DH away). Church first for me and DD. Oldest DD is visiting my parents and I may hear from DS!

Allthegoodusernamesareused · 25/03/2022 19:58

I'm working, but when I finish I'll take some flowers to Mum's grave. My youngest DD is apparently making me waffles for breakfast (at my desk) and cake for afternoon tea, so I'd best wear an elasticated waistband!

emma1103 · 25/03/2022 20:09

My husband is at work (long hours as he's a chef) and my mam has covid, so I'll be spending the day just me and my daughter. Trying not to spend all day crying as this is my first mothers day since my son was stillborn x

peanutpancake · 25/03/2022 20:34

My sister and I are making champagne afternoon tea for my mum and nana, it's only ladies left on our side of the family now so we make a point of getting us all together for Mother's Day

Nothing special. Dh will take ds to rugby and I’m taking dd to a dance comp which will take up the day. Don’t expect we’ll be home before 7:30.

BorderlineHappy · 25/03/2022 21:23

I’m a single mum to a toddler so I think the day will go unnoticed. My own mum is dead too. Very jealous of everyone with lovely plans sad and flowers to those of us without loved ones
@Peterpiperpickedapepper I'm sorry for the loss of your mam.
But as you have no one else to please,do your own thing.
Make your own memories and traditions.
🥰

Romeiswheretheheartis · 25/03/2022 21:38

Another one here with Covid, so won't be leaving the house Sad. Hope I feel better than I do now.

addictedtotheflats · 25/03/2022 21:58

Going to work a shift in A&E. I'm useless with dates and put myself to work not realising its Mothers day. Oops

lljkk · 25/03/2022 22:00

morning: might walk with others
pm: skating with DS, I hope

Candlecassie · 25/03/2022 22:06

Nothing. Just another normal Sunday here. My kids will sometimes buy me flowers or a bar of chocolate or make dinner off their own backs. They don’t need a day to show it and I don’t want them spending their money on a commercialised day.

Get your toddler a little bunch of daffodils or a bar of chocolate to give you then make a plan for a nice little morning feeding the ducks or whatever you like to do, you'll feel so much better I swear!
MrsStrongman · 25/03/2022 23:48

I'm the morning my eldest has rugby and as my DH is working all day I'll be taking him, keeping everything crossed for sunshine!
Then in the afternoon my parents & siblings are coming to mine for a little afternoon tea in the garden. I'm actually really looking forward to it, it's been a while since I've had people round properly. Although I'm sure I'll find a reason to be stressed on the day. Grin

BobbyRhude · 25/03/2022 23:57

I'll be working, we have over 500 parties booked in for meals where I work so although my own Mum is long gone, I'll be looking after many others. I'll have breakfast with my children and one of them will be at work with me. Smile

Bouledeneige · 26/03/2022 00:12

Nothing. My mother is dead and bath my kids are at university. I'm not expecting cards or anything.

LadyOfMisrule · 26/03/2022 23:05

Child is at a rugby tournament all day. I’ll be there.

Just a usual Sunday here, relaxing morning, visit both our mums do a food shop , then home for a takeaway dinner with the kids,

frenchfancy81 · 26/03/2022 23:34

Had a lovely day out today and a pub dinner afterwarda so no cooking. Tomorrow, I'm hosting my parents and siblings for an afternoon tea-type late lunch and I'm hopeful that my husband will have sorted something from our 5 year old son 😊 Have bought my Mum a couple of bits.

SauvignonGrower · 27/03/2022 00:00

Church. Forcing all the family to get out of bed and show up, for once. Grin
