I know this has been done before, but let's have a nice cheerful thread about the little purchase that thinks it's a giant. I have just bought a really cute hob kettle that makes me happy when it whistles Grin. I swear the tea tastes nicer too.

A little pot with boobs on the front! I put a mini cactus in it that I call Colin and it cheers me up whenever I look at it. My dd hates it and turns it round whenever her friends come over!

my wool duvet and contoured pillow - have imprved my sleeping sooo much (not actually that cheap, but makes me very happy!)
4 little pots of mini narcissi which were reduced that I planted out in the patio border - makes me smile every time I look out the kitchen window
my Emma Bridgewater mugs. I get a new one each season - I get a soring one for mothers day, a summer one for my bday and winter one for Christmas, I treat myself to an autumn one. Im excitedly awaiting my second spring one next week Grin Makes me happy when I use them for my morning coffee
my gardeners world subscription - which was a bday present from my sister. Love it when a new magazine drops through the letter box.

😉 Bullet Vibrater.

Nomorefuckstogive · 20/03/2022 07:37

Bamboo socks. So soft and breathable.

Everydaydayisaschoolday · 20/03/2022 07:41

My favourite was free. It's a promotional mug that my daughter was given at a graduate recruitment fair about 12 years ago. I've recently had a massive cull of possessions because I hate clutter and that free mug was one of the few that didn't go to a charity shop. It's just the perfect size and shape.

@EdithStourton

Some beautiful washi tape for the my bullet journal. And the journal itself - after years of chaos, I am now organised.

Also the hyacinths in pots now flowering madly in the front room.

Which washi tape did you buy @EdithStourton? I am always on the lookout for washi tape I can actually write on, but not been successful.

An Emma Bridgewater mug

I totally agree with the USB candle lighter.....and the bamboo socks. Little things that make me so happy.

I'll vote my red wine aerator. You put it on the top of a bottle of wine and then pour and it forces loads of air through and makes the wine taste so much better. I did a blind taste test with and without it and could definitely tell the difference ~because I am sad like that~ Wine

My flourescent rainbow light from m and s. It's very cheerful.

lightand · 20/03/2022 07:58

@KitKattaktik

My egg boiling doohickey that changes colour so you can cook the perfect boiled egg every time. Even for my fussy DH! Grin

My miniature drunken gnomes around a camp fire. Make me smile every time I dust.

I thought doohickey was a make of an egg boiler! Googled but couldnt find it!

Can you give me a link to the type of egg boiler you have please?!

USB candle lighter?!!?? Amazing. I light candles every day without fail. Any particular recommendation please?

Phineyj · 20/03/2022 08:00

Popsy pyjamas! With pockets in! They have loads of fun prints for dresses too. Also with pockets.

But my favourite is a mini Easter Island head planter BIL got us once with an ornamental grass planted in it. We call him Sideshow Bob.

GreekOlive · 20/03/2022 08:00

My bird feeder. I just love watching the birds in the garden whilst I’m working.
It’s mindfulness and happiness combined.

implantreplace · 20/03/2022 08:01

I have an avocado Tupperware.
It’s brilliant.
1/2 an avocado at lunch day 1
1/2 an avocado at lunch day 2, and still as fresh and green as day 1

A little keyring which clips into a bag and has an extendable cord on it. My extremely disorganised and forgetful son now can't lose his keys and get locked out of the house. Life is far less stressful.

frazzled101 · 20/03/2022 08:08

A set of crochet needles. Taught myself following YouTube videos and it's opened up a whole new hobby.

Lndnmummy · 20/03/2022 08:09

M&S roses for £3.00 or £6.00. They are amazing. I buy them every Friday as a treat but have had to change and go 9 days in between as I'd come home with the jew ones and the old one still looking great. Its a weekly treat and they give me so much pleasure.

Real tecniques mini makeup sponges, love them

Ikea tea lights. I go through about 5 a day and they always makes me happy

ouch44 · 20/03/2022 08:09

@Deux I just bought a USB candle lighter too. I love it but I bought it for DS because he is trying to make something similar for DT GCSE.

Apparently though it makes the high pitched noise that only teens can hear and hurts their ears and seemingly the dog's! The DC dive for cover when it comes out.

Does yours do this? Obviously not helpful for the DS doing GCSEs but good for me for candles and I can see it having other uses!

TheFlis12345 · 20/03/2022 08:13

I came on here to say the boiled egg thing as well! I have this one, it has improved my breakfasts beyond measure!

@Horaceandgus where is he from please? He sounds fabulous

HappyNanny16 · 20/03/2022 08:16

Mugs again. I have a mug hierarchy too!

I have 3 white mugs with cartoon black outline Coe's on them, bought in ASDA of all places, 12 years ago. I wanted 2, but bought three, so I had a spare. They're a perfect size & shape for coffee & the cows make me smile everyday.

Fine mug with a cute bear & my name on it (from a friend) for tea.

Plain white mugs for visitors!

Mulled wine mugs from various German Christmas markets

Love my mug cupboard!!

ouch44 · 20/03/2022 08:16

@implantreplace if you have DC and want to make their ears bleed this one. 😂 It is a very good candle lighter though also managed to use it to light the fire.
