I know this has been done before, but let's have a nice cheerful thread about the little purchase that thinks it's a giant. I have just bought a really cute hob kettle that makes me happy when it whistles Grin. I swear the tea tastes nicer too.

My head towel! An impulse instagram purchase and I love it so much - can't bear a big heavy towel on my head now. Have bought like 3 for friends. Game changer.
@demotedreally please tell me where you got a plate warmer!
I’ve had one of these for years and it’s brilliant!

Salt of the Earth deodorant. Lasts forever, gentle on skin, works, great for the environment, travels easily. I’ve had mine for a year now and it’s still going strong. Not bad for less than a fiver.

Very thin duvets (4.5 tog) that can be washed in a normal washing machine but doubled or trebled up depending on the weather. I will never go back to bulky high tog duvets. They dry really fast too.

1.8 litre slow cooker (crock pot £15, Amazon). We have a household of fussy buggers. Today is pizza day, where after gymnastics, we get a pizza in from the local shop. My dad doesn’t like pizza. So I just put in some chicken and veg, and 6 hours later he has a stew. Enough left for my son to re-heat when he comes in from his friends.

Today it’s going to be my chickpea curry in there.

@Cherrysoup blame my eyes I love them that will do for me .I meant adidas.

dentydown · 20/03/2022 06:26

@Faxmesomehalibut I bought a Halloween witch skater dress a while back. I wear it all the time. Little witches on their broom sticks in the light of the moon. I love wearing it! Feels empoweringGrin

Botanica · 20/03/2022 06:28

A little box of illustrated cards by Katie Daisy. Her art work just makes me smile.

Toddlerteaplease · 20/03/2022 06:28

@Faxmesomehalibut

I have just bought (off eBay) a dinosaur print, corduroy pinafore type dress. I absolutely love it! At 42 I might be too old for dinosaur fabric but I don’t care! Grin
I have several dinosaur theme clothes. Never too old!
Toddlerteaplease · 20/03/2022 06:29

My
Mum bought me some odd sockets with Cats on them. I love them!

mum11970 · 20/03/2022 06:30

@CrazyBaubles

Does it count if it's something DH bought? He came home with 2 sets of solar garden lights last week. I rolled my eyes but now they're up they make me smile every evening.

I have a few myself - a Loch Ness monster ornament that I've put in a plant pot, a Cornish pottery blue and white striped mug and a silly, childish (Christmas themed) case for my iPad. All 3 make me smile in quiet contentment Blush

What Solar lights? I’m after some decent solar lights.
Toddlerteaplease · 20/03/2022 06:39

My coffee machine. Bought second have off eBay. But saved me a fortune on costa!

HopingForRainbow2021 · 20/03/2022 06:42

@RedRobin100 that looks great! Just ordered 🙈

THisbackwithavengeance · 20/03/2022 06:47

My crepe maker. About a tenner in a sale at Sainsbury's.

DH scoffed when I brought it home.

But we use it nearly every day. I love it.

JimLaheysWhiskeyBottle · 20/03/2022 06:50

A little wooden recipe box with index cards inside. I bought it last week after being after one for years! I had a very specific picture in my mind of what I wanted, but had never been able to find what I wanted.
Last week I was a bit early for my residency appointment so wandered into Søstrene Grene and it was right there! I let out a little gasp!
I’m slowly filling it up now with my baking recipes and it makes me so happy to see it in my kitchen.

Also my 40kg training bag that hung for my boxing or laid flat for my BJJ. It’s awesome! And means I can train more effectively on my own.

OddSocksSparklyDocsandDungaree · 20/03/2022 06:51

A rubber brush. I used to use a standard sweeping brush that wafted the dog hair around the room. Now, the rubber brush makes it so much easier Grin

Paranoidandroidmarvin · 20/03/2022 06:52

My audible subscription. It ignited my love of reading. Costing me a fortune though

Arucanafeather · 20/03/2022 07:06

@KitKattaktik

My egg boiling doohickey that changes colour so you can cook the perfect boiled egg every time. Even for my fussy DH! Grin

My miniature drunken gnomes around a camp fire. Make me smile every time I dust.

What is this? I need one of these. I’m so disappointed when my boiled egg isn’t cooked through with a slightly runny yolk. We’ve got our own chickens so their eggs are all different sizes so I often get the timing wrong.
Imicola · 20/03/2022 07:07

A long handled teaspoon so I can get to the bottom of the mayo jar... game changer, I can't believe it took me until I was 40 to get such a thing!

Deux · 20/03/2022 07:15

My usb rechargeable candle lighter. It’s amazing. No running out of matches or lighter gas.

EdithStourton · 20/03/2022 07:17

Some beautiful washi tape for the my bullet journal.
And the journal itself - after years of chaos, I am now organised.

Also the hyacinths in pots now flowering madly in the front room.

IbuGerry · 20/03/2022 07:22

I love my double egg cups (think Tony Hancock) bought on Preston’s pot fair in 1990 on my first trip back to England. I’ve never seen them in Australia.

isthismylifenow · 20/03/2022 07:29

I have two. First is my balti cast iron Le Creuset dish. It gets used so much. And it just makes me happy to see it on the stove.

2nd one is quite silly. I have a pool and in there is a floating thermometer. It's a grinning crocodile and he just floats around all day with this big grin on his face. Through rain and shine Smile. I say hello to him every day as he is just always so happy to see me 😂
