I know this has been done before, but let's have a nice cheerful thread about the little purchase that thinks it's a giant. I have just bought a really cute hob kettle that makes me happy when it whistles Grin. I swear the tea tastes nicer too.

A knitted chicken tea cosy. It sits on the tea pot on the windowsill so I see it every day and it makes me chuckle every time ☺️

I love that. And I need a tea cosy...

Oh no. Now I want a clicker. Our dog is 10 and completely untrainable, but I could try it on the family.
I also want some dinosaur glasses. They sound fab.
I have tried various eyebrow thingys but they all make me itch. The only one I can use is Benefit.

@Cocolapew. That's cheating. Your pup wouldn't have cost a few pounds. You are very lucky though, she is adorable.

@Cocolapew

My new puppy is little and I love her
Beautiful 😻
Cocolapew · 19/03/2022 21:30

But she's so cute Grin
Ok, I'll go for my electric blanket, it was only a tenner and I'm obsessed with it.

My rainbow welcome mat Smile

Little silicone spatula off eBay. Gets last bits out of tins, scrapes cake mix bowls so they don’t clog up the dishwasher, stirs non stick pans without scratching, gets the last bits of peanut butter out of the jar. I had to buy a second as I kept needing the first one and finding it was in the (running) dishwasher.

I have a mug with my initial on, it's a lovely shape and it fits in my hands perfectly. It holds the right amount of tea and I'm sure everything tastes better when I drink from it. It was only a fiver from tesco but to me it's perfectSmile

Love the "why didn't I buy this sooner" feeling for discovering something you have lived without for so long.

Collapsible cleaning bowl from ikea. Love it and it's a gorgeous pink colour.

Electric Foot file from a Amazon

Siestema Bento box from Aldi.

Revlon blow dry brush.

My beautiful cabin socks, I always have cold feet and can’t sleep if they are cold. These double thickness socks with fluffy lining keep my feet toasty.

Hand milk frother. Barista style coffee every morning and it was only £10. I love it.

CrazyBaubles · 19/03/2022 21:42

Does it count if it's something DH bought? He came home with 2 sets of solar garden lights last week. I rolled my eyes but now they're up they make me smile every evening.

I have a few myself - a Loch Ness monster ornament that I've put in a plant pot, a Cornish pottery blue and white striped mug and a silly, childish (Christmas themed) case for my iPad. All 3 make me smile in quiet contentment Blush

Oldh · 19/03/2022 21:43

My cat would say the self heating pad I bought her from the middle of Lidl. Don't think she's moved off it for weeks.

@Faxmesomehalibut

I have just bought (off eBay) a dinosaur print, corduroy pinafore type dress. I absolutely love it! At 42 I might be too old for dinosaur fabric but I don’t care! Grin
Never too old! I bought the Joanie dinosaur dress as a Christmas present to myself. My dmil commented that it was 'very brave' but it makes me smile everytime I put it on.

That's just the thing.

A Drowsy sleep mask - expensive but worth it. Makes napping during nightshift much easier!

MondeoFan · 19/03/2022 21:49

A beautiful leather keyring from Tovi Sorga

I'm also loving my jewellery candle from imperial candles

Fatgalslim · 19/03/2022 21:51

A bright yellow bicycle shaped pizza cutter, the wheels are the blades 😍

I bought this Bluetooth thingy because the only earphones that I like come with a wire and my iPhone doesn't have a socket. It has immeasurably improved my walks. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07H5C2BQX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8

Plug in plate warmer. In fact ours just broke and I realised I needed a replacement immediately

Utterlybananas333 · 19/03/2022 22:02

My stainless steel cafetière( is that how it's spelled?) From Sainsbury's, an absolute godsend after accidently shattering about a million glass ones!

MrPanks · 19/03/2022 22:02

A headband with integral earphones. I can listen to Audible and drift off to sleep whilst side sleeping. £30 present from DH and DD for Xmas. I look as mad as a box of frogs in it, but I give not one fig. Love it.
