I know this has been done before, but let's have a nice cheerful thread about the little purchase that thinks it's a giant. I have just bought a really cute hob kettle that makes me happy when it whistles Grin. I swear the tea tastes nicer too.

@TaysideTeuchter

I ordered a sleep mask from your link yesterday afternoon and it arrived an hour ago !!!
I'm so impressed and can't wait to wear it while dh watches sport in bed Confused

TabithaTittlemouse · 22/03/2022 16:26

@spagbog5 can you let me know what you think? I’m still deciding!

Benjispruce5 · 22/03/2022 17:44

I bought the Elf Wow brow on this thread. It arrived yesterday and it’s very good. The natural brown is good and like a pp said not too warm/red as some are. I still use my No7 pencil to fill in and shape but the wow brow thickens and keeps them brushed up. It’s still in place after a day at work.

I bought this. I still love her 18 years later.

My chargeable candle lighter

Unicornspirit · 22/03/2022 18:55

A Masha, no more lumpy spuds and takes zero effort, plus it does the best whipped cream etc.

stormsurfer · 22/03/2022 19:59

@IncyWincyGrownUp Sounds perfect for passing plague time! What are they called?

mamabear715 · 22/03/2022 21:21

Daffies here too! I just LOVE them in a vase.
My free Nescafe mugs from a few years ago. EXACTLY the right size. I get overfaced with huge mugs.
A Trevor Grimshaw print that I had copied for a fiver. Not everyone's cup of tea but I love it.
Slipper 'boots'. Lifechangers in winter. :-)
A fox's skull from dd's garden. I adore it.
A pot hen with wire legs that my late husband bought for me once on hols. No-one else is allowed to touch it.
Hag stones that I made my sis bring back from the beach when she was away. I hang them at the hall window to guard from evil, as I do with rowan tree, lavender & rosemary outside the front door.
Blu tack. My DIY 'go to'.
My ringbound diary. I buy one every year. It's on my desk, lies flat so always open on today's date. :-)
I'm sure there are dozens more!

mamabear715 · 22/03/2022 21:21

PS Great thread OP! :-)

Ah. We've had this discussion upthread. I know I said little rather than inexpensive, but a horse is not in keeping. I imagine that is neither little (now) or cheap! It is adorable though, so if you turn it into a keyring it could stay Grin

When expecting our first set of twins (sadly we lost them at 19 weeks), I bought them this little lion from the Miffy range of soft toys for babies called Cute as a Button.

We went on to conceive twins again. They were born extremely prematurely and devastatingly our son passed away when he was 4 days old. Our little girl, his twin sister, survived. She has just turned two but has developmental delay due to her prematurity and prolonged hospital stay. She still doesn't really speak and her vocabulary is limited to about 3 words.

Anyway, when she first came home at nearly 8 months old, we gave her the lion. She used to lie on her play mat holding him and talking to him. She used to say "Dee-Dee!" whilst she was talking to him. It stuck. She plays with the lion every day, still. He's filthy but I am scared to wash him in case he doesn't cope!

Until very recently, our daughter has had issues with soft toys, and for the main part, still won't touch or hold them. It's different with Dee-Dee. Slowly, we've encouraged our little girl to give him little cuddles. She will now cuddle him for a few seconds (often he gets launched across the room after that but you can't win them all). Today, she even gave Dee-Dee a kiss. My heart melted.

So, he's small. He was inexpensive, and he brings great joy. He is also ridiculously cute. Long live Dee-Dee!

Is love to see a separate thread linked to this one re what people have purchased on the back of it

Me (and I’ve not even had a chance to look brought 50% of the responses - probably a good thing!)

Salad spinner (I went with an oxo one. Thoughts?)
Dior nail glow
Rechargeable candle lighter

I am old enough to know better but whilst browsing through Amazon I came across the below (see link). Dont like much Disney but come on! Lucifer the cat from Cinderella. I love him! I cannot have a real cat where I live so this is the next best thing!

Lovely Radley laptop bag, preloved off EBay but seller was a charity who kept all the proceeds and when it arrived it was like new!

Thanks for that; it’s made me smile and it was free! I’m only familiar with the Tight Fit version. The first record I ever bought. I had such a crush on Steve Grant in his off-the-shoulder leopard skin number…

mamabear715 · 27/03/2022 22:14

My flowery Converse! :-)

NewBootsAndRanty · 01/04/2022 14:57

A butter spreader of all things! Looks like this and I just love using it. So much easier than a knife.

Glad you like it Wink

@TabithaTittlemouse
Sorry for the delay in feeding back about the sleep mask but I LOVE it.
It completely blocks the light out and definitely helps me sleep better.it's incredibly comfortable too.

TabithaTittlemouse · 02/04/2022 19:22

Thank you @spagbog5! Sounds perfect although I have realised that our room is completely dark so don’t know if it would be worth it!

k1233 · 03/04/2022 09:59

@SunshineCake1, sorry I've just seen your message. Polish is Sinful Colours. It's free of all the bad things.

This weeks nails (blue/green) and last weeks. These are done with stamping plates and are so much fun to do.

I got the white box from work and it's the perfect size to hold polish. The top two drawers are polish and the bottom is stamping plates, stampers and stamping polishes. As I said, I've been expanding LOL

My little gadget for zesting lemons/any citrus.

I couldn’t believe I’d gone so long thinking you had to do it with the hated box grater that tries to grate your fingers, too.
Only £7.
