Report in the Guardian that she has had her passport returned and that a negotiating team are in place.

Too early for celebrations but I have got my fingers crossed behind my back.

@BoreOfWhabylon

Latest pic of Nazarin tweeted by Tulip Siddiq.

Somehow I doubt it's a coincidence that she is dressed in the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

She’s got a yellow dress on, that’s it, and a bog standard blue surgical mask. Hardly a political statement.
theDudesmummy · 16/03/2022 18:48

I didn't know that about exit visas. It is very sad indeed if her parents cannot see her or her daughter again, certainly.

DesertStorms · 16/03/2022 18:49

@theDudesmummy

Why would she not see her parents again?
Probably because she’ll never want to set foot in Iran again and they may not be allowed to visit her.
theDudesmummy · 16/03/2022 18:50

No, of course she can never go back to Iran. But I thought her parents would be able to travel.

LaraDeSalle · 16/03/2022 18:54

@Igotjelly

It’s unfortunately very common for couples to split after one has suffered such significant trauma. Fingers crossed theirs is a happy ending/beginning
At least they have been able to make video calls for several hours most days since March 2020. Hopefully that communication has helped keep their relationship going.

Why would she not see her parents again?
I doubt she’ll be rushing back to Iran….
PlanetNormal · 16/03/2022 19:06

What wonderful news!

I bet she goes to M&S tomorrow to get her favourite sandwich and a packet of Percy Pigs! 🙂

clearly everyone wants the best for her and her family but you couldn't resist posting an "unfortunate" negative statement could you Igotjelly
My comment stands.

Actually Igotjelly was just responding to jystkeeppeddling’s comment. And she’s right.

I would like to hope that, within her lifetime, the regime in Iran changes sufficiently that she feels safe to return. But clearly for the foreseeable future that's out.
JayAlfredPrufrock · 16/03/2022 19:29

What is wrong with people???

All I keep thinking is how bloody slow her plane seems.

And all those flights going into Doha and Dubai 😱

tempester28 · 16/03/2022 19:36

Amazing news! she has a lovely husband - best wishes to them and yes they may have some difficult times ahead after what they have been through. Welcome home!

Arcadia · 16/03/2022 19:45

Does anyone know if she's seen her husband during this time? Was he ever over in Iran and able to visit?

Tulipomania · 16/03/2022 19:51

No, she has not been able to see her husband in person.

Projection, much?
CaveMum · 16/03/2022 19:58

@SaveWaterDrinkGin

She en route to Brize Norton and is expected around 10.30pm tonight.
That was the original arrival time, her flight was late leaving so arrival time is now 0031 UK time.
Fritilleries · 16/03/2022 19:59

On the border of Turkey, now.

Tabitha005 · 16/03/2022 20:34

@saddowizca

Such wonderful news - nice to have a cry about good news for a change.
@saddowizca - I'm with you! I had a right good old sob earlier seeing the photo of Nazanin on the plane and on her way back to her husband and daughter.
SunshineCake1 · 16/03/2022 20:35

I'm reading this thread forgetting to breathe.

I will try and get the flight app up.

You really don't sound like you mean you hope they make it!

The McCanns have managed it. So do many others.

Could you post the link to the data for your comments.

Do you have a reason to be so bitter?

maddiemookins16mum · 16/03/2022 20:52

Her flight is the 3rd most tracked currently, 6K people cheering her homeward.

HELLITHURT · 16/03/2022 20:53

@ApolloandDaphne

It is quite overwhelming being able to track the flight she is on.

I imagine she has made peace with not being able to see her parents again and they have talked this through whilst she was with them. She needs to be home safely with her husband and her daughter.

I wish them all the happiness in the world.

I'm certain they have abs very sadly they probably said their personal goodbyes, but yes it is heartbreaking.
