Report in the Guardian that she has had her passport returned and that a negotiating team are in place.

Too early for celebrations but I have got my fingers crossed behind my back.

AKA Boris Johnson. I think he certainly made things much, much worse for Nazanin and her family. Who can forget what he said in the HoC and afterwards? He was like a bull in a china shop.

She looked remarkably well after such an ordeal. To be fair to the Iranian government they always aid this was about £400 million we owed them. We have just paid that money and they immediately released the two hostages.
As a matter of interest I have been to Iran to lecture. I found the Revolutionary Guard who run the country to be very unpleasant. The ordinary people very hospitable.
I also have had trouble every time the US immigration people see I've been to Tehran. They are too stupid to look at their own records and see that I've been cleared. There are some very dozy people over there.

She’s been under house arrest presumably at her parents house. So probably eating pretty well and had company.

No woman who has anything to do with Boris Johnson comes out of it well - I have Carrie is braced for the fact that he is a wrecking ball for women - his whole life story is littered with women who were lied to, cheated on, and made to suffer for his mistakes

I'm wondering if they'll try for another baby - that was said in a BBC news article.

And a few years ago when Gabriella was 5, her DH mentioned about them wanting another baby then as Nazanin had sadly missed out on so much of her Gabriella's babyhood.

Good grief. She’s barely home and already the press are speculating whether they will try for another baby? TBH, They need to rebuild their relationship from the beginning as it is. Gabriella won’t remember her mother and they need to get to know each other from scratch. Also she and Richard haven’t lived together as a couple for 5 years. That kind of thing can inevitably put a strain on any relationship.

Good luck to her and her family and down with the regime in Iran who are utterly dreadful. I have been there twice on business and it is really dire the lack of freedom there. The people were nice but the regime is awful. I am glad she is home safe.

I liked the charming way she contradicted her husband at the parliamentary press conference. I think it’s a good sign for them that they have that give and take.

Go on, get baby number two on the go, why the hell not, she may be impatient to get on with her life and who could blame her?

To be fair to the previous poster, I think the BBC article was quoting an old interview with Richard, where he said Nazanin was worried she wouldn't get home in time to try for a second baby. So it wasn't just idle speculation on their part.

But agree, they need to be left alone to settle back into family life now.
