Report in the Guardian that she has had her passport returned and that a negotiating team are in place.

Too early for celebrations but I have got my fingers crossed behind my back.

Iran are a dreadful regime who hold people without proper trials and do not have a decent rule of law. Utterly utterly dreadful that they could hold her for so long on such trumped up charges.

Wow. I could not disagree more with people saying don't send a card (although I am not planning to).

None of us has the slightest idea what it would be like to go through something like this. What qualifies any of you to tell others what to do?

People will send things, Royal Mail will have had this sort of situation before, where post is sent in this way, they'll deal with it. Don't stomp on people wanting to do something nice!

They're descending towards the airport

It’s using a different tracking method for the flight. Some use radar and some use satellite.

its the altitude, shows shes nearly landing in the next 5/10 mins, the lighter it gets the nearer to ground

Absolutely agree with you on this. I really don’t like random people on the internet policing people’s kindness, as well intentioned as it might be.

There will be a multitude of ways in which people will react to this news and given how high profile her plight has been cards and flowers are absolutely going to be expected.

But altitude makes sense. I'd wondered if it was changing from one airspace to another.

According to what I’ve read they want to be left alone and don’t want to be remembered.

People wanting to send cards etc need to be honest about who they’re really doing it for.

The best thing for them will be able to fade away into obscurity if they want. We should take the lead from them.

Oh, didn't realise it would involve a change. Did think it was an early landing as news said 10.30pm arrival in the UK.

So happy about this. I've followed the case for years. It will be wonderful to be home, though I also think it must be a mixed bag of emotions for her parents in Iran. I'm sure they are overjoyed she is free, but they must wonder if they will get to see her face to face again ever. I can't see her visiting them in Iran again.
