How many biscuits do you have with your tea?

I just had four, but they are small, 26 calories and 2.6 net carbs each. High in fibre and low in sugar. They are basically dust biscuits but you get used to them.

Anyway, it made me wonder whether I'd be considered greedy by MN standards 😂

None

LaurieFairyCake · 10/03/2022 14:12

3

But I only get to eat 2 as dogs have half of the last one each Grin

Rich tea - so 38 calories each I think

OutdoorType · 10/03/2022 14:12

As many as I want. But wouldn't have a clue how many calories, carbs etc they contain!

All of them!!! So I don't buy biscuits as I can't be trusted 😆

Anystarinthesky · 10/03/2022 14:13

One kit-kat which is 109 calories so the same as you.

violetbunny · 10/03/2022 14:13

All of them Grin

YellowPlant · 10/03/2022 14:13

Three.

Do you remember when people used to lay them out on a plate? Why do we not do that now?

smooshraspberry · 10/03/2022 14:13

About 300

LetItGoToRuin · 10/03/2022 14:14

Usually none, but if I crack and have one biscuit, I can't stop myself from eating half the packet.

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 10/03/2022 14:14

Usually 2, unless they’re very small.

FranklySonImTheGaffer · 10/03/2022 14:17

@YellowPlant I don't drink tea often but if I'm having biscuits I use a teacup and saucer specifically so I lay the biscuits out on the plate - it's a form on control because I have the packet I'll eat them all.

Op I tend to have 3. I like an odd number for biscuits and 1 is just silly!

Byefornow · 10/03/2022 14:17

I would have at least six, probably more. That’s why I can’t buy them.

FinallyHere · 10/03/2022 14:17

It's easier for me just to not start eating biscuits. The first is the easiest to resist.

They don't really provide any good nutrition so just empty calories. Not eating them is so much easier than giving over the headspace to consider the right number to eat.

MrsGHarrison87 · 10/03/2022 14:19

None. I drink a lot of tea and coffee. Now and again I'll have a few biscuits but I drink the tea just for the tea.

girlmom21 · 10/03/2022 14:20

I tend to start with 2 or 3 then 'just another one' then there's none left

EatSleepRantRepeat · 10/03/2022 14:21

None, but that's because I sneak down after bed for midnight biscuits when DH is in bed Grin

BarbaraofSeville · 10/03/2022 14:21

As long as the tea lasts so between 1 and 4, depending on whether I want another biscuit. But not often enough as we don't keep them in the house as any time we buy biscuits they get eaten in no time.

But I'm not sure anything with 26 calories, low sugar and high fibre actually counts as a biscuit really.

I'm thinking jaffa cakes, shortbread, or something from Border biscuits.

Jericha · 10/03/2022 14:21

1 while making the tea
1 walking into the other room with the tea
1 with the tea
59 throughout the rest of the day as I may as well carry on

I don't buy biscuits anymore. I have no self control, particularly if it's custard creams.

ISayItLikeItIs · 10/03/2022 14:22

I only stop when I'm full Grin

tiggergoesbounce · 10/03/2022 14:22

Too many, but it depends on the buscuit, probably about 6, although i dont have the tea, just the biscuits !

AdrianCanChaseMe · 10/03/2022 14:23

I have none. Otherwise I'd inhale the entire packet. Its easier just to not have them in the house. Although I feel mean because my kids say they never have biscuits and go mad for them when we visit my parents.

LottyD32 · 10/03/2022 14:23

@YellowPlant

Three.

I have a tiny little tray that fits on the arm of the sofa, for my cup and biscuits 😂

I try to only have biscuits once or twice a week though, not every day.

This. Either none, or 10+

Poor visitors to my house never get offered biscuits.

Purpleavocado · 10/03/2022 14:24

between 0 and 3. 3when DH is home, if I don't eat a few, I won't get a look in and he'll inhale most of them before I've heard the wrapper crinkle.
Also, I have invisalign and it's a pain brushing my teeth all the time when I have a biscuit.

Erinyes · 10/03/2022 14:25

This is me. I prefer tea without anything to eat. (My mother thinks this is barbaric and reflects on my upbringing.)
