It's like Wordle in that you need to guess the word of the day, but works by semantics. So you input a word and it will tell you how close you are. You have infinite guesses.

For example, ysterday's word was 'costly' with expensive, cumbersome and burdensome being the three closest words.

I'm currently 840 words away with a similarity of 47%. I started at under 2%.

I’m now on 133 guesses without getting out of cold. This is a disaster.

I'm glad other people were stuck at 995/1000 because that's the closest I've had today (my first day playing - thanks to this thread) and I'm really struggling now!

I’ve pretty much wasted the whole day😅 highest is 995 but have plenty in the top 200 but still stuck up to 175 words now but can’t bear to give in. We are meant to be moving house but have had a set back so any distraction from the boxes everywhere is good 👍

Not a spoiler as you cannot see my words but I’m extremely frustrated. I’m just about there but not quite.

I got it in 187 guesses.

I didn’t get out of the cold zone until guess 120 🥶

I can see this is going to be a marvellous waste of time I could spend doing something more productive

Got it! Slightly cheating as I looked up the spelling of a word on the internet and the definition gave me a hint. I was on the right track but slightly off course. I don’t care though . I still did it😅😅😅

If the nearest word is 74.70 how are people getting 995? I think I am misunderstanding something.

If the nearest word is 74.70 how are people getting 995? I think I am misunderstanding something.

So the tenth nearest word would be 990, and the fifth nearest word would be 995, and the nearest word would be 999 out of 1000. I agree the other numbers are a bit confusing, they are some sort of measure of how close in meaning and semantics the words are.

i gave after 208 guesses
my nearest was 995
and i had two very similar words at 911 and 898, the part of the final word were in them!
so that is confusing and annoying.
but i know now!
