Mines fish finger sandwiches or sausage sandwich. For Some reason it has no appeal.
Yet I'd eat a sausage in a bun.

Am I missing that much?

Poutine

SartresSoul · 21/02/2022 19:33

Oysters here too. My Dad loves them and regularly ordered them when we ate out, I just think it looks like snot in a shell.

Never had steak. I stopped eating meat at 12 and never had it before then. Don’t fancy it and can’t wrap my head around people eating it with blood pissing out of it.

Black pudding, it’s a scab? I don’t understand that either.

Never had lamb, venison, veal for same reason as the steak.

Oh and you can get very delicious vegetarian and vegan sushi so no need to have raw fish. I eat veggie sushi at least once a week, it’s amazing.

dayswithaY · 21/02/2022 19:35

I've never eaten:

An orange/satsuma/tangerine
A boiled egg
Mashed/boiled/jacket potatoes
Swede
Turnip
Beetroot
Coleslaw
Branston pickle
Pickled onion

I could go on...it's all to do with texture and strong flavours.

Cassop · 21/02/2022 19:41

Banana, the smell makes me feel a bit sick. Also tea and coffee.

FireInCairo · 21/02/2022 19:44

A McDonalds burger

Lindy2 · 21/02/2022 19:44

I've eaten most things I think.

The only things I can think that I haven't tried are tripe, brains and eel.

I'd give eel a go but tripe or brains don't really appeal at all.

DisforDarkChocolate · 21/02/2022 19:48

Coffee, I love the smell but even the hint of a taste (looking at you husband who has been known not to wash the teaspoons well) make me shudder.

Same for salted caramel.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 21/02/2022 19:49

Lobster
Oysters
Goose

Not because I don't like the idea, just because they require significantly more money than I've ever had to spend on one meal.

Trolleedollee · 21/02/2022 19:50

black pudding

Bread sauce

Oysters

I've also never had KFC , Nando's, greggs, subway or kebab from a kebab shop

NalPolishRemover · 21/02/2022 19:50

I've eaten pretty much most of the things posted here. I don't like oysters but I hace tried them

Things that seem very popular on mn that I've never eaten & have no desire to do so are:

Baked beans with cheese - the idea revolts me
Fish finger sandwiches- I don't like fish fingers so can't imagine they'd be improved by being in a sandwich

Doner kebab. The thought of it fills me with dread

bigyellowTpot · 21/02/2022 19:53

Can't imagine having never tasted it. Not really interested in coffee though. I've never tasted sea food such as oysters etc cannot stand the look of them I eat with my eyes lol

FireMeetGasoline · 21/02/2022 20:01

When I was a meat eater, there were certain things that I would have never eaten. Any organ was a no - I've never eaten liver or kidney, paté, any 'exotic' type of animal such as kangaroo. I never tried octopus, squid or escargot. I can safely say that I never will, and I'm pretty happy with that.

JustLikeJasper · 21/02/2022 20:01

@PiperPosey I've never tried coffee either! Have the occasional cup of tea but never coffee. I get very odd looks when I tell people I've never tried it

AngelinaFibres · 21/02/2022 20:02

Oysters. No idea what the appeal is . They look like someone has blown their nose into a shell and said "Mmmmmm fancy one ?" ConfusedConfused

MrsBerthaRochester · 21/02/2022 20:03

I think I have tried everything mentioned apart from the shitty french sausage.
Not a fan of seafood but snails are surprisingly tasty.

Carpediem15 · 21/02/2022 20:08

@PiperPosey

May I add drink to this? I have never had coffee or tea ( no hot or iced) in my life. Not a sip. I'm 74. I went to a coffee shop once for cookies and the clerk asked me if I would like some coffee... I told her the above and she said, " Well, the coffee is on me and we'll put you in our Newsletter..." and I politely said, " No thank you..." PS...when I was a baby all the way to High School there was always coffee brewing and my mom and dad smoked cigarettes heavily. The mixture of the 2 made me nauseous. I equated tea with coffee somehow. For caffeine I drink Diet Coke.
I can relate to this - I am same age and also have never sipped either and in our house when I was a child the kettle was never off and can't stand the smell of either of them. Never been to :- Subway - KFC - Nando - any Pizza chain - Burger King. but I have been in McD's a few times.
Neurodiversitydoctor · 21/02/2022 20:10

I think I've eaten everything on here. Didn't love it all but happy to give it a go. I quite like androille in a creamy sauce in a crepe (I had a Bretton BF once).

Starlightandsparkles · 21/02/2022 20:10

Offal-my mother loves it but just the sight makes me gag
Pumpkin
Baked beans
Marshmallows-my kids love them but the power coating makes me feel sick
Crab
Lobster
Squid
Octopus
Eel

Neurodiversitydoctor · 21/02/2022 20:11

Can't stand rice pudding.
