For me it's horse riding. Haven't actually ridden in years but I used to love it and always thought I'd go back to it.

Now too old and scared of falling and it makes me really sad Sad

Anyone else?

itwasntaparty · 18/02/2022 13:33

Walk my kids to school, chatting random shite.

Skiiing. I feel about skiing the way you do about riding op but honestly I went back a year ago when my kids took it up and it's been amazing.

Be thin, and think I was fat. Now Im just fat and know im fat.

Pregnancy. I was in the wrong relationship and I’d love to have experienced the mutual excitement and being looked after by my partner. I’m too old now and wouldn’t add a new baby into the mix with teenagers but I loved being pregnant.

Have a big night out in a club with a huge group of friends whilst looking thin, young and pretty

Wbeezer · 18/02/2022 13:39

I'm going to the gym at the moment to improve my leg strength so that i can go horseriding in the summer, i actually did fall off last time i tried as my legs got too sore and tired to cling on during a sudden downhill trot (is taken my feet out of the stirrups to stretch my ankle!). Im "only" 53 though.
I don't think I'll ever ski again though and may never go to the States unless i have a very important reason, i avoid long haul flights for environmental reasons.

Live where I lived a long time ago. All work and visa dependent and literally no longer an option due to international politics.

HardbackWriter · 18/02/2022 13:46

Go into labour and then hold the baby for the first time - I could happily skip the bit inbetween, and I don't want another child to take home afterwards - but I'd love to relive those bits.

Finish my exams and sit around in the sun celebrating with friends.

Kiss a man for the first time (or at least I hope I won't do that again!)

Ted27 · 18/02/2022 13:47

@DDIJ

Why would you never go to a bar, theatre or nightclub again?
I'd hate to think there was nothing I would never do again, unless I was physically incapable.

Wbeezer · 18/02/2022 13:47

I was reminiscing about small child bathtime the other day and it crossed my mind that its unlikely that I'll ever see my sons naked again, not that id particularly want to now that they are big hairy blokes! Just a contrast to how familiar their little baby bodies were.

Wbeezer · 18/02/2022 13:48

I've also got last ever parent teacher night coming up, no more school.

waterlego · 18/02/2022 13:50

Give birth and breastfeed. I don’t want another actual child but I do feel sad that I won’t ever do the birth and breastfeeding bit again.

Spend time with my parents, talk to them and hear their voices.

And…a bit different to the others but: have a one night stand!

Greenybluetowel · 18/02/2022 13:51

Dance in a nightclub, I think about it a lot as it I know I'm just too old and I really miss it.

If your age is the only reason then it's no reason at all! I can only think of really shallow things like, I'll never wear contact lenses again because my eyes are chronically severely dry. Or heels because my back and knees are just too decrepit now Grin
prettyteapotsplease · 18/02/2022 13:57

I'll never know the simple joy of just sitting with my DH in the garden with a cup of tea. He passed away almost 12 years ago and I must walk this path alone for ever.
