So we've got Dudley today and tomorrow and Eunice on Friday so thought I'd start a thread. Dudley has barely hit here in Edinburgh and already there's a flight from LHR struggling to land.

Amsterdam went from 1300 and no runway left to 0 and parked up?

CaveMum · 16/02/2022 22:28

Sharm’s turn! The last few to land at Manchester have opted for hard landings so let’s see what the pilot does on his second attempt.

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 16/02/2022 22:29

@Newrunner29

Aircrafts not machines trying to think of right word!
Those magnificent men in their flying machines?

I think it was a film / song. I can hear the music in my head. I know what you mean, anyway.

It had a minus speed for the last 15 seconds or so! 😱

RestingMurderousFace · 16/02/2022 22:29

Come on, Sharm!

inigomontoyahwillcox · 16/02/2022 22:30

Sharm.Down.

Glorieta · 16/02/2022 22:31

Sharm has landed Gin

FrangipaniBlue · 16/02/2022 22:31

Oosh I felt sick watching that 🤢

ajandjjmum · 16/02/2022 22:32

So everyone - point me in the direction of the next bit of excitement? Grin

TheDogsMother · 16/02/2022 22:32

Another pretty rough landing with Sharm but I'm sure they are glad to be down and not having to get back from Gatwick

Carpediem15 · 16/02/2022 22:32

@Chohlin654

Have you ever flown ryanair? They will just slam it down in all weathers. Zero fucks given from ryanair drivers
Think I would want a slam down instead of going up and down and round in circles for a an hour. Had plenty of slam downs with Air India domestic flights so know which I would choose.
ShavingTheBadger · 16/02/2022 22:34

Things seem to be less gusty at Mcr - we’ve got a Paris and a Prague and then I think I’ll catch the next flight to Bedfordshire. But might end up in Gatwick…

comfortablyfrumpy · 16/02/2022 22:34

There is a very dinky plane heading towards Birmingham from Istend (about 10 mins out). I definitely wouldn't want to be in one that size in this weather :(

comfortablyfrumpy · 16/02/2022 22:34

*Ostend

ajandjjmum · 16/02/2022 22:35

Tiny little Cessna (Caravan!!!?) coming in to Birmingham. Bet that's been blown about.

Leftbutcameback · 16/02/2022 22:35

Am I missing something? I can just see the plane symbols which you click on for info. How do you get the info about planes bobbling about etc?

SonicBroom · 16/02/2022 22:36

How do you tell if it’s a hard landing and when they go up / down? Sorry rookie question

Pennox · 16/02/2022 22:37

What’s going on at Gatwick? I’m nearby and it’s very windy!

MyCatHatesEverybody · 16/02/2022 22:38

Can anyone explain the departure and arrival times to me please, e.g. the Sharm to Manx shows departed 06.36 ago and arriving in 01.27 but I can’t work out what that arrival time means?

Charliesgotachocolatefactory · 16/02/2022 22:38

Hello my people! (Waves at @liveforsummer from the other side of the Forth)

Hiyawotcha · 16/02/2022 22:39

An AMS/LGW easyJet showing as diverted to….Amsterdam?!

ajandjjmum · 16/02/2022 22:39

Where's that little Cessna making it's way into Birmingham. Gone from my screen. Confused

Hiyawotcha · 16/02/2022 22:40

But on approach, just over Ling field. It is very blowy here.

JessyCarr · 16/02/2022 22:40
