So we've got Dudley today and tomorrow and Eunice on Friday so thought I'd start a thread. Dudley has barely hit here in Edinburgh and already there's a flight from LHR struggling to land.

spudjulia · 16/02/2022 21:57

Cog landed at Manchester. BOD given up?

ShavingTheBadger · 16/02/2022 21:57

Geneva - Man down at Gatwick - poor buggers.

Geneva is down! Thank the lord

inigomontoyahwillcox · 16/02/2022 21:58

Rennes to Manchester coming back round for another go.

I'm very invested in this specific flight!

notimagain · 16/02/2022 21:58

@QueenOfThorns

Now, where is Bordeaux-Manchester off to?
He's taking up a hold..I guess either with a view to having another go or diverting.
roarfeckingroarr · 16/02/2022 21:59

Is it weird that this is making me desperately want to get on a plane?

FrangipaniBlue · 16/02/2022 21:59

This one looks like it was lined up with the runway and snorted once already?

They’re not trying this go round!
FrangipaniBlue · 16/02/2022 21:59

*aborted

comfortablyfrumpy · 16/02/2022 21:59

What's the Rennes-Manchester one doing?

Tell you what, I will feel like clapping the poor Southampton plane when it finally gets into Gatwick.

GracieLouFreeebush · 16/02/2022 22:00

I’ve never clapped when a plane has landed before, but if I was on that Geneva flight I think I would be one of those people

SonicBroom · 16/02/2022 22:01

Has the Rennes flight only recently gone N/A?

ShavingTheBadger · 16/02/2022 22:01

The Rennes-Mcr has flown over mine twice…
RestingMurderousFace · 16/02/2022 22:01

I'm about 10mins from MAN, scared for them!

ShavingTheBadger · 16/02/2022 22:02

I can hear the Rennes flight Smile

inigomontoyahwillcox · 16/02/2022 22:02

It did @FrangipaniBlue, it gave up at about 1500ft, thought it was coming back from its second try, but it looks like it's either circling or has given up and going elsewhere now.

FairyLightQueen · 16/02/2022 22:02

BHD-SOU approaching Gatwick now. Those poor people!

TheDogsMother · 16/02/2022 22:03

I think the Rennes flight has given up.

CaveMum · 16/02/2022 22:03

SSH - MAN having a go

notimagain · 16/02/2022 22:04

The Manchester situation is interesting from an aviating POV.

It's certainly very windy but doesn't look like they've got massive crosswinds (it's generally about 20 knots across at worse) so they are either getting turbulence/windshear that is triggering the go-arounds and/or there are nasty shower around causing problems..any thoughts from the locals?

TheDogsMother · 16/02/2022 22:04

I was wrong. I think Rennes is having another go at it !

FairyLightQueen · 16/02/2022 22:05

Is the Rennes plane trying again? Looks like they're approaching Manchester now...

QueenOfThorns · 16/02/2022 22:05

They’re lining up now at Manchester, looks as though conditions have improved Smile
