It's ridiculous. I'm a 37 year old woman. I have 2 kids, a job I love. I function reasonably well!

I cannot butter bread. I make a complete mess of it. Holes in the bread etc. I can't blame it on hard butter because I use marg.

I'm ill and bored. Please make me feel better by telling me the "easy" things you're shit at.

@minniep

Riding a bike, running and making mashed potatoes. I'm actually not the worst cook but making mash just escapes me. They are always absolutely dire.
Invest in a "Masha" - game changer
A580Hojas · 11/02/2022 21:24

Nearly 60. Still can't do East and West (although fine with Left and Right).

Cannot be tidy no matter how much I sincerely try.

Can't concentrate unless I'm being paid.

Can't make pancakes.

Unicornspirit · 11/02/2022 21:24

I can't cook beef, it's like leather every time, can't cook rice unless it's boil in the bag, style my hair. Probably lots more but I'm knackered.

everythingissoexpensivenow · 11/02/2022 21:25

Run.

OhWhyNot · 11/02/2022 21:25

Play sudoku I get confused but the instructions 😳

Play scrabble if I get a five letter word I’m ridiculously happy I just can’t look at a group of letters and think of a word

I’m good at card games

Japanesejazz · 11/02/2022 21:28

I cannot make gravy
I can make every other sauce

I can’t keep houseplants alive
Except the orchid my ex sister in law bought for me, it’s been living purely to spite me for nearly 20 years

I do know a fool proof way to poach eggs though 😊

Peel potatoes with a knife
Swim

SickAndTiredAgain · 11/02/2022 21:32

Blowing up balloons. I literally cannot get any air into it, I blow and nothing happens and I do not understand why.

Seriouslymole · 11/02/2022 21:33

@foxlover47

Cooking rice , unless it's boil in the bag it's always ended up inedible :(
Get a rice cooker - it is revolutionised my rice cooking!
Katya213 · 11/02/2022 21:34

Making a bed look tidy.

the80sweregreat · 11/02/2022 21:35

Maths and numbers are a no no , I am embarrassingly bad at them and it's all just scrambled in my brain! Thank goodness for calculators.

Savingpeoplehuntingthings · 11/02/2022 21:35

Cutting things with scissors. Can't do it nicely. I'm a preschool educator, I need to teach three year olds to cut, literally can't do it. Quite frankly they're better than me. I'm left handed and dyslexic, I blame both!

Fridafever · 11/02/2022 21:35

Loads of motor skill ones. Can’t park, can’t dance, can’t eat without spilling stuff, find buttons tricky, sense of direction is woeful.

What knife do you use? If you find an old fashioned type with really round blade it works much better- I use my grandmas old bone handled butter knives and they make it so much easier. eBay often has them...

Opening letters and boxes of cereal. An absolute shit show every time 😑

WorkEvent · 11/02/2022 21:41

Threading treasury tags through paperwork. Or any other thing used to hold paper together basically (dyspraxia). In fact any task that involves more than a couple of sheets of paper gets me in a massive flap. I end up with sheets laid out all over the place. The other part of the problem is I can’t visualise things if they are hidden (ADD/shit object permanece).

Mochii · 11/02/2022 21:42

Ironing

Footsanitiser · 11/02/2022 21:43

Peel potatoes with a knife

This is what peelers are for (I can't even do it with all peelers Blush I have a superior preferred peeler at home. DH doesn't understand he thinks all peelers are equal)

dudsville · 11/02/2022 21:44

I can't whistle. But I used to know how. How did I lose that skill? Now I just purse my lips and blow air. Its ridiculous and embarrassing.

AllTheColoursOfGerberas · 11/02/2022 21:45

If someone points at someone in a photo ' he's on the left' I can't figure it out. I couldn't do my Daughters eye drops for her right eye for the life of me

I can't read a map, if I've not got a Sat Nav/Google Maps I'm completely lost

Tubs11 · 11/02/2022 21:45

Opening jars... Always calling hubby in to open them for me
