It's ridiculous. I'm a 37 year old woman. I have 2 kids, a job I love. I function reasonably well!

I cannot butter bread. I make a complete mess of it. Holes in the bread etc. I can't blame it on hard butter because I use marg.

I'm ill and bored. Please make me feel better by telling me the "easy" things you're shit at.

Cooking a steak. Also a decent and experienced cook, but every steak I make is either leathery or raw

Keladrythesaviour · 16/02/2022 05:54

Winding up the hose pipe. It's on a wheel, with a handle. All I have to do is turn it. Nope, every time I end up in a massive, angry tangle usually with a few cut or banged up fingers. I generally avoid it now but occasionally I don't have a choice and each and every time is worse.
I'd blame it on the make but I used my in-laws last summer and it was exactly the same.

I cannot use a drill or any other power tool. Things with blades that go fast. They terrify me.

@Minniem2020 Peel them under water. A running tap will do, or in a bowl of water. No idea why but it works. I ws taught working in a coffee shop a gazillion years ago where we prepped a LOT of egg mayo

Ameanstreakamilewide · 16/02/2022 15:11

@OhWhyNot

Play sudoku I get confused but the instructions 😳

Play scrabble if I get a five letter word I’m ridiculously happy I just can’t look at a group of letters and think of a word

I’m good at card games

I have a theory about this, actually.

I have a reputation in my family as being a bit wordy and they're always surprised that I'm not actually very good at it.

And, I think it's because it's about seeing patterns with the letters, rather than words themselves.

That's my excuse, anyway!

@Minniem2020

Peeling a boiled egg, I just can't do it without taking half the egg with it. Parking, absolutely useless at it.
I gently tap the 2 ends on a chopping board, then lay it sideways and very gently roll it back and forth.

The shell starts to fracture and come apart naturally. 🥚

BobHadBitchTits · 16/02/2022 15:38

Flapjacks.

Always end up shite.

dizzydizzydizzy · 16/02/2022 15:45

Recognizing people - I am face blind so have many embarrassing situations not recognizing people I see often. I do recognize my family and close friends though always. Work colleagues, famous actors, mums I slightly know - all very difficult.

Walking - I trip over my own feet much to my work colleagues' amusement

Whistling - just can't do it

I am very good at lots of other things though Eg fast swimmmer

coldfeetmama · 16/02/2022 19:44

BruceAndNosh · 17/02/2022 00:22

My garden thrives but I kill any houseplant.
I can make an ace Christmas Dinner for 12 but can't do a decent soft boiled egg.

I'm rubbish at sleeping

@StopForAMinute

Putting lids on things! It takes me ages to match the lid with the bottle/jar etc and actually screw the thing on!
Sharpie a number on each lid and same number on each jar or box then just match them up.
