What easy things are you just shit at?

It's ridiculous. I'm a 37 year old woman. I have 2 kids, a job I love. I function reasonably well!

I cannot butter bread. I make a complete mess of it. Holes in the bread etc. I can't blame it on hard butter because I use marg.

I'm ill and bored. Please make me feel better by telling me the "easy" things you're shit at.

But stir frying also …

Small talk with school parents, and remembering their names and those of their children for that matter.

Riding a bike, running and making mashed potatoes. I'm actually not the worst cook but making mash just escapes me. They are always absolutely dire.

Wearing a scarf stylishly.
Doing anything with my hair.
Keeping the house (or indeed anything) tidy.
Cooking the right amount of pasta.

Telling the time. I could not look at a clock (not a digital one!) and give you the time until I was in my early teens. It still takes me long time now (early 40s).

Oooh thank you! You've all made me feel much better. I can do lots of these things (not running or makeup). Maybe I'm not completely inept.

No! I'm right handed. I just...can't do it.

Pancakes. They never work. Thankfully DS1 can make them so I don't miss out.

😂 I will never, ever, attempt this (ski lift). I know what the outcome would be.

Growing flowers- I do everything to the letter and half of it just dies off by spring.

Blowing up balloons with my mouth- I actually get stressed at the thought of misplacing the pump

I can't keep house plants alive. But last year I successfully grew loads of veg from seeds. Not sure why it's different.

Another vote for cooking rice

Telling the time on an analog clock (although this is because the clock we have in our house goes backwards with the numbers the wrong way - can use that fine but have to realy think about a normal clock)

Swimming

French plait (and of course any form of complex hair styling). My 8 Yr old DD ran crying from the room when I last attempted a French plait in her hair (with the aid of YouTube). I just can’t do it.

I'm also shit at make up. How girls do that steady eye liner I've no idea.

This is interesting. I'm shit at these things and have zero hand-eye coordination. My high school PE teacher told me I was the worst badminton player he'd ever seen!

I'm a really good cook, I enjoy it. I can't make pancakes to save my life. Dreading pancake day!

Running. Even as a kid I was crap at it. I was that kid who always got picked last in PE and I was alway glad because it mostly meant I got to sit out of it

I did a step class once ( in the 80s ) and the teacher told me I had the worst co ordination she had ever seen
I didn't go back
