I've got tinnitus too, had it since my late teens. Both ears, a few noises in each ear. Too much listening to heavy metal at full volume on headphones and going to heavy metal concerts as a teen! I can cope with it. I only now usually hear it at night in bed, as there are no other sound distractions around. I do miss silence though. I'd love to sit in silence just for once.
How's your BS today WreckTangled? Could it be you're coming down with something? Or are you taking any new medication? I hope you manage to stabilize soon.
Congratulations on your 80%! Well done. Star Does it feel like the hard work is paying off now? Go going! Smile
Well, I managed a mini binge last night. I was awake late (Danger time.) and just wanted to eat. I ate a Alpro yogurt, three slices of bread, butter and sandwich spread, and a Oats So Simple Original and Skinny Syrup. I figured I had about 900 extra calories. I think I also did it because I signed up to the weight management scheme and they are going to guide me through diet and exercise for 12 weeks so thought my diet will be changed again (Probably more calories) so I though 'F**k it'. Hopefully it won't cause too much damage.

Hello all. Sorry to hear you were without power @WreckTangled - nightmare. We’re all electric too here and power cuts are a worry!

Good to hear your tests were ok @BorderlineHappy!

Well done on the weight loss @73kittycat73 - the weight loss program sounds interesting. You’ll have to let us know how you get on.

Not much to report here. Busy as usual which is good. But I’m beyond sick of this weather!

Yes a bit, I changed my pump I think it wasn't working properly.

My dads power has been off now since Sunday evening. So miserable for them, the storm caused so much damage.

I think the nhs weight programme has been proven to be quite successful so I wish you all the best with it

73kittycat73 · 23/02/2022 19:36

Hello PaperMonster, Smile nice to 'see' you. Thank you. Have you got snow? Sorry to say, in case it rubs it in, but we've been forecast sun on Saturday and Sunday. Still only 10 or 11 degrees though. How have you been? Got rid of all the Covid?
Thank you WreckTangled Smile, and I'm glad you got your BS down. I forgot to say, the nurse woke me Monday morning by saying I'm out side (I don't think I'd have the nerve to say to her what I did when more awake...) and I asked her to come back in a month so I could get a hold of this new diet! lol
I've been filling my evenings with knitting. My mum goes to a local market and was buying some wool for me last week form a stall and he said to her if I make anything I can give it to him to sell for a commission. So, I'm knitting Christmas baubles at the moment. I'll do a few of them and I've got a couple of other patterns I bought today to make also, wine bottle covers and character bags. I thought I'd knit a load and give them to him October/November time.

Yes, we’re Covid-free thanks. But I’ve been left with fatigue and my eyes go very fuzzy of an evening. Also my funny arm had a bit of a relapse and it’s nowhere near as bad as it was but it does keep feeling weak and then twingey.

We had snow at weekend, think I might have mentioned it. Can’t remember! And we were forecast snow today but we had a few flurries and some hail but not the heavy stuff that we were promised! Forecast a sunny day tomorrow, so fingers crossed they get that right!!

Walked more than seven miles today so doing ok!

@WreckTangled your poor dad, what a nightmare. Fingers crossed it’s back on soon x

73kittycat73 · 24/02/2022 19:42

Sounds like long covid? Sorry to hear your arm is giving you gyp again.
Hopefully you'll get your sunny weather tomorrow. Smile Good going on all those steps!
Just been reading all the nuclear bomb threads. Shock Have been really anxious all day today. How are you all dealing with the news?

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 24/02/2022 19:45

My Covid tiredness/headaches/fuzziness took a while to go. I'm much better now though, two months on.

I have been avoiding the news. It's not that I don't care it's just too sad.

My parents finally have power, came on at lunch time today almost four whole days after it went off.

73kittycat73 · 28/02/2022 11:04

Weigh in day today, lost 4.12lb, which I am really pleased with. I've lost exactly a stone over all. Smile
Glad you dad got his power back. I understand about avoiding the news. Sad Unfortunately keep seeing it daily (On mum's TV and online.), I keep trying to say to myself, be here, now. Ie, right now I am safe.

BorderlineHappy · 28/02/2022 15:56

Congratulations on losing that weight that's fantastic.

I'm getting my other hearing aid soon.
Which I'm excited about.

I have a small hole in my other eardrum.
So she's referred me to ent for an assessment.

I'm trying not to get too anxious over the news but I'm scared shitless.
Hopefully Putin will be stopped. And soon.

WreckTangled · 28/02/2022 16:09

Wow that's amazing weight loss! Well done Smile I'm back to being good with my food. Day one is going well Grin

73kittycat73 · 28/02/2022 20:03

Thank you BorderlineHappy Smile It's good you'll be hearing again soon. Good luck with the ENT, I hope you get seen soon. It doesn't help looking at some of the threads on here (With war anxiety) does it?! I hope this situation is sorted very soon for everyone's sake, specially for the Ukrainian people. I fear though he may try invading another country after that. ?
Thank you WreckTangled. Smile Good luck with day 1! Flowers I'm sure you'll be really good. Have they released the Not Cross Buns yet?
I hope you're OK PaperMonster, and not too busy!

OP posts:
PaperMonster · 28/02/2022 20:17

Am always busy aren’t I @73kittycat73?! I was on a first aid course at weekend and back into the swing of work stuff again now. We also have had to do a lot of moving stuff around and storing things as we’re having our bathroom done. Also, it’s my birthday this week!

Glad your parents have power now @WreckTangled!

Great weight loss @73kittycat73 - keep up the good work!

Hurrah for your new hearing aid @BorderlineHappy!

Not sure it’s long Covid - I just think I have post-viral fatigue which will go. I hope. But the eye thing is a bit concerning.

73kittycat73 · 01/03/2022 12:02

Early Happy Birthday to you! Cake Wine Are you doing anything special for it? I hope you have a lovely day. Smile

Bought myself some protein pancakes yesterday.
Says it makes 25 pancakes, the bag is huge.
I'm sure they mean 250🤣.

But I have to get back in to it.
I'm so lazy but I really have to start again.

73kittycat73 · 01/03/2022 19:20

No pancakes here today. Sad Forgot to get the stuff in. Have got Easter Eggs in ready though. Grin
I hope your pancakes taste nice. Smile

The trouble with going back to being good is that my sugar levels are going really low all the time! Will take a couple of weeks to settle I think.

The low carb hot cross buns are available all year round I think. But I might see if I can make some with chocolate chips WinkGrin

PaperMonster · 02/03/2022 06:24

Thank you @73kittycat73 for the birthday wishes! No plans really other than parents coming over this evening. Daughter took me out for lunch at weekend which was sweet!

73kittycat73 · 02/03/2022 12:23

Yeah, I had quite a few hypos when I started a few weeks ago WreckTangled. It was another reason why I wanted the nurse to come back after a month, get a truer picture. They seem to have settled down now. Haven't had one for a good week. I hope yours are Ok and that you manage well.
I'm up for chocolate chip hot cross buns if you're making any! Grin
Will you be having cake PaperMonster? My very weird nice doesn't like cake (I know right?!) but it's her birthday soon. I was looking on Not On The High Street and found a cookie pie. Perfect I though, you can pick the cake centre flavour and the colour of the icing on the top, which I did. They only wanted £29.00 for it plus p+p! Shock Sorry nieces, the search continues! Grin

Pretty chuffed with myself last night. Just wanted to EAT. Had an Options mint hot choc and 1 yogurt. Was heading back for more and caught myself. Told myself how I would regret it afterwards and it would mess up Monday's results. Dead pleased. Smile First time in a long time I've managed to do that.
Hope you are all ok?

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 03/03/2022 19:37

Well done! I love the options mint hot chocolate.

I'm doing well, I have managed all week so far without eating anything I shouldn't Grin only four days but it's a start

73kittycat73 · 04/03/2022 11:46

Thank you, and well done to you too! Star How have your hypos been? You're doing great though.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 04/03/2022 15:15

gelert5619 · 04/03/2022 16:53

Thanks muchly 73kittycat73 for the encouragement and inspiration. The stretching video was surprisingly enjoyable and I've saved it and subscribed to her other ones.
