@NintendoStress welcome.
@73kittycat73 ah I had a lovely weekend, My D's fiancée (woo) brought me a Madonna calendar and a bottle of prosecco.
We drank it talking about the upcoming wedding.
Exciting stuff and I really can't wait.

Went to Newry today and shopped at Sainsbury's,haven't been there in years.
Made a lovely change.

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

73kittycat73 · 15/02/2022 11:15

Oh, nice that you had a good weekend. Smile I forgot you like Madonna. You have a tattoo of her? (Or want one.)
I bet the wedding talk is exciting. Have you planned your outfit yet?
It's always nice to shop somewhere new and see what they have different. Smile
My nieces didn't come round in the end, will be coming sometime next week instead. It's cold and rainy here but I have to go get the bins in that the bin men have just emptied. Not looking forward to it! lol

Hello everyone, just popping in to say hi and I hope everyone’s doing ok xx

73kittycat73 · 18/02/2022 10:58

Very, very windy here atm! I'm double booked too. Have the nurse coming to take my bloods (The nurse that phoned me kept calling it my diabetic review, but I thought I had that last week? Confused )between 10.00am-2.00pm, and have Iceland due between 12-2pm. Oops. lol
Found it quite funny but last week the nurse didn't say anything about my weight to me then yesterday I get a letter asking me if I want to join the NHS Weight Management Service. Grin lol I found it quite funny. I have accepted though. Grin

Good for you 73kitty. We're in a red warning here and our trust have been told to only visit for end of life or urgent care.

73kittycat73 · 18/02/2022 11:37

Thanks WreckTangled. Smile I did wonder if the nurse would still come out, but I haven't had any phone calls to say otherwise.
Just turned my heating (Gas boiler) off as the wind kept blowing the flame out! I went outside to recover my mum's mobility scooter, and my, it was VERY windy! Won't be doing that again! lol

OP posts:
73kittycat73 · 18/02/2022 11:38

Sorry, that sounds weird. I mean she puts plastic covers over her mobility scooter to keep it dry from the rain. That's what blew off and I was trying to put them back on the scooter.

Grr, people are annoying me today. Angry Firstly some absolute idiot of a postman left me a red card saying post was left outside. IN A STORM. Of course when I went to check, nada, nothing. Idiot.
The nurse didn't turn up. I half didn't expect her too but a call to say she wasn't coming would be nice. Angry
Finally, I ordered some garden decorations from The Range over 5 weeks ago and they never turned up. Got in touch and they said they'd get in touch with a third party about it. This was the 8th February. I got pissed off with no reply so emailed back asking for a refund. Not heard a peep. Tried sending them a new mail to ask for a refund and they said not to do it as it makes response time slower, so they must have got lots of complaints about it!!!
I hope you all survived the winds today and your gardens/outside area are OK? We lost two canvas covers, and the patio table and a swing seat was broken.

Half of our fence is down. Was supposed to be going out tonight but that’s postponed.

Frustrating about your nurse/postie and The Range. But things come in threes and there’s your three! Were you expecting something in the post? I hope you rang them to complain? We went to The Range the other day - daughter loves it there! Bought lots of bits! Including a photo frame which OH will never put up.

BorderlineHappy · 19/02/2022 09:30

Other son has COVID.
I haven't seen him as he was with his gf this week

I finally havey other hospital appointment on Monday.
Getting the results of my bloods taken last year.

Where I am the weather hasn't been too bad, raining a lot and a bit of snow.

@73kittycat73 I hope you rang that nurse awful behaviour on her behalf.

PaperMonster · 19/02/2022 12:45

Hope the appointment goes well @BorderlineHappy. We have snow now. It was very heavy earlier and stuck, it’s a bit lighter now.

73kittycat73 · 19/02/2022 20:09

I've been told I should complain to Royal Mail. It was a knitting pattern. I got it off Ebay so went and purchased another and told the seller why. She was really nice and said she'd send me the PDF via email to download. She then refunded me my second payment! I thought that was lovely of her. Smile
I do usually love The Range, it was a garden ornament I ordered. I don't usually have trouble with them. Maybe it's the third party seller they have a problem with?
Sorry to hear about your son BorderlineHappy, and very good luck to you for Monday.
We haven't had any snow! Sad If we're going to get wintery weather it could at least do the decent thing and snow. Grin I love snow, probably because we hardly get it down here. Of course I'm talking in jest, I hope no one gets stranded or have any other problems snow can cause.
I didn't ring the nurse but when/if they 'phone back I will mention it.

Still more storms here tonight, been very windy and rainy. We also have rats in the attic. Found out they were coming from those scummy buggers downstairs. The landlords workers came out the other day and put poison down. Yesterday was quite quiet but I've not long heard them in the walls. I'm not scared of rats luckily, I had my first pet rat when I was 15. I understand they are a different breed to vermin rats. (As a vegetarian I couldn't help but feel a bit bad/guilty about them being poisoned/killed.)
Weigh in day tomorrow! Had a bad day...Nieces came round and there was chocolate and biscuits floating about...lol
I hope you are all safe and well. Flowers

My tests came back clear.
They are still waiting on one though,so I'll probably be called back.
Otherwise I'm back in 6 months.
Weight off my mind.

WreckTangled · 21/02/2022 18:55

Evening. Eating went out the window this weekend as we were without power for 52 hours. We're all electric so it was completely freezing and miserable. We also had no mobile phone signal so couldn't keep track of anything or see that there were free supplies being given out. I'm still really cross that they didn't send anyone round to make sure everyone was ok, we're pretty rural and no one knew there was hot water and charging stations set up 5 miles away.

73kittycat73 · 21/02/2022 19:51

I bet that was a relief BorderlineHappy. I'm so pleased for you. Hopefully this other result will be a good one too. Flowers
Oh no WreckTangled, that sounds awful! I can't begin to imagine how cold you were. How did you pass the time? I'd make a complaint about them not going door to door so it (Hopefully doesn't need to) won't happen again.
I weighed in today, 3lbs off. I will admit, at first I was a bit disappointed after last weeks big loss, but have given myself a head wobble. Grin 3lbs off is huge! If I can do at least that every week I'll be a very happy bunny. Smile

Thats fantastic @73kittycat73 well done.

@WreckTangled thats awful.Hope you complain. That shouldnt be happening.

Have an appointment for a hearing test on Thursday.Hopefully i get my other hearing aid soon from it.

The doctor from the metabolic clinic pushed for it. Got a phone call at 6 with the app for Thursday.

73kittycat73 · 22/02/2022 11:39

Thank you. Smile Good luck with the hearing test. Do you notice in everyday life that your hearing is not so good? Do you have tinnitus? You say you already have one, is it a replacement, or do you need two? I hope it goes well for you. Smile

OP posts:
BorderlineHappy · 22/02/2022 19:14

I need 2 and yes I've tinnitus.
I can hear the improvement but I still feel my hearing ear is still overcompensating for the other ear

WreckTangled · 22/02/2022 19:57

I get tinnitus but only for short periods thankfully.

I had really high sugar levels today, just could not get them down. So frustrating especially when I had a salad for lunch!

WreckTangled · 23/02/2022 06:17

I got 80% on my first uni assignment 🙌🏼

BorderlineHappy · 23/02/2022 09:14

@WreckTangled Fantastic,well done.
