What do you think? I can take constructive criticism as long as you are not mean. Who needs an estate agent. Photos to follow. Obviously I have had to cut them so I can't be identified.

Is that an advertisement for property or CBD oil?

WhereDoesThisToiletGo · 05/02/2022 16:18

Make sure to reference the "principle" bedroom and "on suite"

viques · 05/02/2022 16:57

@WhereDoesThisToiletGo

I remember someone linked to a grand house where the same tray with floral teapot, cups and saucers appeared in half a dozen different places. The home owner clearly followed the photographer round, placing the tray artistically in every shot
Good news. The Jeff Goldblum/monkey shower curtain is available on a site called Foxy Webb. And of course you can always take him with you when he has sold your house for you.

Sorry, meant to link to @oldh .

If you're looking for kerb appeal inspiration, I remember an episode of Four in a Bed where the B&B had weeds flourishing in the gutters, beer cans in the grids and a discarded condom outside the front door. (I think it was in that Venice of the North, Scunthorpe.) Now that's the kind of attention to detail that will stick in the minds (and to the shoes) of potential purchasers.

Thankyou so much for finding the fixtures and fittings cat! I laughed so much I scared the Robin off the table in the garden where he was eating his lunch.

Brilliant isn’t it @viques! (Sorry Robin!)

What is really popular these days and I particularly like the idea, perhaps you haven't thought of this. Scrape the hall and stairs but for added effect, lift the carpet.

This is a good one, leaves your vendors wondering is this "artfully distressed" or "bailiffs just left"

I bet none of you would have a photo of a statue like this though (photo 13): www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/119820443?utm_campaign=property-details&utm_content=buying&utm_medium=sharing&utm_source=copytoclipboard#/&channel=RES_BUY

Photos 14, 17 and 18 are quite special too.

we put our house on the market yesterday. The EA came on Wednesday to take the photos but I failed on the "artistic staging". However, when the listing was published on RM, dcat appeared prominently in the photo of the spare room. it's definitely our cat though.

I think you have some competition...

MrsMoastyToasty · 11/02/2022 23:21

Don't forget to stage the garden? This is bringing the inside outside.

@dubyalass that house is actually lovely. Am I missing something?
@MrsMoastyToasty. You win Grin. I love that the first photo is the bins!

@oldh oh it's gorgeous, and most of the photos are fine, but I was amused by the statue with its gravitationally correct willy plus the low-res photo of only the upper half of the outdoor seating, the chair abandoned in a bit of grass. It's like when you got your holiday snaps back in the 80s and they'd mistakenly included a few of someone else's.

Has anyone mentioned the pile of coats artistically draped over the living room door.
