Lemonweightloss · 03/02/2022 15:27

Caring about money / material possessions. So long as we have a roof over our heads, food on the table and everyone happy n healthy, I'm not bothered.

MermaidEyes · 03/02/2022 15:27

Giving time to selfish and narcissistic friends, therefore having more time for those who are genuinely good friends

Good thread.

Trying to find the perfect version of an item or event.

dipdye · 03/02/2022 15:31

Yeah, definitely putting in any effort at work. It just isn't rewarded. My new years resolution is to have more days off.

My priorities are different, now I prioritise the kids and myself

zafferana · 03/02/2022 15:32

Studying

HighlandCowbag · 03/02/2022 15:33

Being a fixer. Now if someone who has form for unburdening on me, but not actually doing anything about the issue they have, I don't try and resolve it for them. I nod and look upset/concerned/angry for them and that's it.

Also shaving my legs.

Aderyn21 · 03/02/2022 15:34

Trying to contact British fucking Gas to get them to do anything!
Life is easier if you just give up!

bluesugar · 03/02/2022 15:35

Ironing.
Always saying 'yes'.
Trying to please people who are impossible to please.
Wasting time on anything that doesn't make me happy.
Realizing that not everyone will like you, no matter how hard you try or how kind you are.

In short, stopped being a people pleaser. Didn't realize that until I wrote the above. So thank you, OP.

DiamondSnow · 03/02/2022 15:36

Watching things on the laptop in bed/ browsing on my phone in bed.

A month ago I laughed at the idea I could do it. But now I go to bed and go to sleep right away rather than browsing and then tossing and turning for hours.

emuloc · 03/02/2022 15:37

ironing

ButtockUp · 03/02/2022 15:37

Ironing. No more piles of clothes crumpling up in a basket that's always THERE to remind you.
