Oh yes! Underwire, goodbye forever.

Phrenologistsfinger · 03/02/2022 16:11

Consuming dairy and gluten. Taking folic acid (rather than folate).

Mollie5 · 03/02/2022 16:15

Being too nice to those who don't deserve it.

SoItWas · 03/02/2022 16:15

I haven't stopped drinking or ironing completely, but have drastically reduced how often I do either. I feel much happier now I only feel the urge to do both on special occasions.

TigerKat · 03/02/2022 16:18

Wearing make up other than special occasions Smile

SylviasMotherSaid · 03/02/2022 16:18

Answering messages from people who I can’t be bothered speaking to
Caring what anyone at work thinks of me they are colleagues not friends
Wearing makeup to go anywhere local
Helping people when it it’s too reciprocated

gluenotsoup · 03/02/2022 16:24

I’m still working on this one, but mine is stopped staying up late watching rubbish tv or mindlessly looking at stuff on the internet. Instead I’m going to bed earlier with a kindle and dropping off to sleep. On the days I do it I definitely feel brighter the next day.

Ironing

Sunsetsupernova · 03/02/2022 16:26

Making plans.

I was always the person with a jam packed weekend every week and plans for the whole year laid out. This year we’ve really cut down on spending due to saving for our first house and I’m shocked at how much I’m loving staying at home. It’s a complete revelation and means that when we do go out it feels much more special.

lissie123 · 03/02/2022 16:28

Going to the hair dressers for highlights etc. During lockdowns used henna instead and my hair looks so much better.
Giving a shit
Ironing it’s a total waste of life

Thirtytimesround · 03/02/2022 16:31

Being competitive, particularly in conversation.

Tolerating ‘friends’ who exude negativity.

Work 😬

musicviking1 · 03/02/2022 16:40

Coming off social media, I found my mood dropped when I looked on Instagram so I don't have an account anymore.

AgathaMystery · 03/02/2022 16:42

Came off all social media.

Ditched FB in 2011
Twitter in 2020
Instagram in 2021

Staffy1 · 03/02/2022 16:42

How can people totally give up ironing unless you don’t have children at school?

grapewine · 03/02/2022 16:52

@SoItWas

I have but don't iron uniforms, they seem to be non iron
JammyRascal · 03/02/2022 17:03

Stop wasting time with narcissistic friends. Dedicate more time to good friends. Best decision I've ever made!

Dreams25 · 03/02/2022 17:04

Throwing my weighing scales out - I haven't weighed myself in 20 years. My children have grown up in a house with no weighing scales - I didn't want them tied to it like I was as a teenager. My clothes tell me when to cut back on the biscuits!

toppkatz · 03/02/2022 17:14

I stopped buying a daily newspaper years ago. Saves money and keeps my blood pressure down!

Gingerkittykat · 03/02/2022 17:20

I gave up caffeinated coffee and no more palpitations.

I thought I needed the caffeine to get me moving in the morning but I am doing fine of decaf.

Deelish75 · 03/02/2022 17:24

Putting myself first sometimes. I don’t need to be available to others 24/7 whilst neglecting my own needs and wants.

pheonixrebirth · 03/02/2022 17:34

@Woofwoofbarkbark

I stopped smoking! I actually, finally did it. 4 months strong!
Just wanted to say well done 👍 I'm still struggling but posts like yours give me hope.

Meant to say stopped others first and started to put myself first.
Fl0w3ry · 03/02/2022 17:42

SM
Saying ‘yes’ when I really wanted to say ‘no’.

MissSmiley · 03/02/2022 17:51

This week on Monday I:
Gave up nicotine
Took off my HRT patch
Got divorced!
