And the Nadine Dorries interview...OMG!

HangoverSquare · 31/01/2022 19:32

Have just seen Dorries' interview. Had she had a few sherries?? Swaying all over the place.

Perime · 31/01/2022 19:38

@ilovesooty

Why the hell has he suggested that questions about drug taking at no 10 should be directed to the Labour Front Bench?
I'd like to know that too #ilovesooty
hotdogsjumpingfrogs · 31/01/2022 19:46

Gotta love parliamentary protocol. Call a proven liar a liar? Get out your monster.

Randomly accuse people of protecting Saville and taking class A's? That's fine...

There really should be a way to complain about the Saville accusation??

Goodbye unelected bureaucrats of the EU, we hate unelected bureaucrats, sling your hooks. Hello a whole new tranche of lovely British, homegrown, bureaucrats welcomed with open arms to a whole new department in Number 10 devoted to saving lazy, greedy Bozo's sorry arse. Just what we want. Thanks Boz.

dontcallmelen · 31/01/2022 19:51

I would like to know as well if there is a way that a complaint be made about the accusations made by Boris today.
Yy the Nadine Dorries interview tipped me over the edge
The Alastair Campbell interview was very good though.

Bringinglightandpeace · 31/01/2022 19:53

@GrealishHairband

It’s taken me 4 hours to come down from the ceiling after that repugnant display by Johnson in the HoC.

It appears to me now that the u-turn of the Met is actual fact a tactical manoeuvre to deflect the heat. It’s clear what his tactic is now, ignore the whole thing until eventually months down the line a short statement is released by Cressida DICK saying that the PM has been cleared of all criminal activity. Book closed.

The man is devoid of all morals, he is a self serving cunt who deserves absolutely nothing in this life.

I don’t say this lightly but I wish he’d died when he had Covid. For whatever reason a certain subsection of idiots think he’s ‘funny’, ‘charismatic’ and ‘jokes’ and a ‘lovable buffoon’ and so he gets away with murder, I can’t imagine any other person would get the leeway he does and if this had happened on anyone else’s watch it would be a case of don’t let the door hit you on your way out. So if he had been permanently removed from the picture we’d have a much better chance of being led by someone who isn’t a self serving narcissistic arse hole who has funny hair.

Why would you wish death on a person? I wouldn't even wish that in my worse enemy. Wow.
TheOnlyMrsMac · 31/01/2022 19:54

My highlights from today's HoC include:

Theresa May
Keir Starmer
Andrew Mitchell
Ian Blackford

  • pretty much across the HoC.
GreenLunchBox · 31/01/2022 19:55

Absolute scenes in parliament today

Fuck Boris

HangoverSquare · 31/01/2022 19:58

Hoyle should reprimand Johnson for the beyond crass Jimmy Saville bullshit.

GrealishHairband · 31/01/2022 19:58

@Bringinglightandpeace I’m not planning on driving to London to finish him off but I can say that if he no longer existed then in my opinion the world would be a much better place.

GreenLunchBox · 31/01/2022 19:59

I hate the way Boris' mob sneer at Blackford every week at PMQs. They look down on him even though they're not fit to lick his shoe.
They were acting like school bullies today, doing stupid faces, and don't get me started on that chocolate teapot Hoyle....

GreenLunchBox · 31/01/2022 19:59

What was this please @HangoverSquare
Nat6999 · 31/01/2022 20:03

I'm waiting for the identity parade to identify the photocopied bums in the 300 photos that have been submitted.

GreenLunchBox · 31/01/2022 20:03

@motherofgodhaudyerwheesht

Watching parliament today was the last straw for me. I am so utterly mortified and embarrassed to be British. The billions wasted, the pockets lined, the contracts for friends, the Brexit lies, all the other lies, what a heartless, shameless, patronising shitshow of entitlement and conceit.

Boris is odious but at the end of the day is just the front man in a total disgrace of a Cabinet, and a Conservative party which has (mostly) utterly lost what moral compass it had. I could only look on that front bench with fear and loathing.

Yet, we are led to believe that they retain the support of a significant proportion of the electorate and remain (re)electable.

Mother of God, Jesus and the wee donkey how could you in all conscience vote for them?

Indeed

I looked at Jacob Rees Mogg and and an actual shiver went down my spine

dontcallmelen · 31/01/2022 20:04

Just when I thought after Nadine Dorries the day couldn’t get any worse
The segment on sky news of the good people of Darlington, saying Boris handled the pandemic in an exemplary manner & if he had admitted being at some of the parties that would have made it ok wtf.
Maybe we do deserve the government me get.

TheOnlyMrsMac · 31/01/2022 20:06

An American friend said about BJ, 'I see you've got your very own Donald Trump over in the UK'.

We do

Enjoy the mess y'all

longwayoff · 31/01/2022 20:12

Nat69 ah, memories. My first boyfriend's main claim to fame was that his naked bum had featured in Yoko Ono's film, (possibly called Bum?); it was art you know and not the result of a piss up at Christmas like most bum pics.Grin

hotdogsjumpingfrogs · 31/01/2022 20:13

@GreenLunchBox Boris accused Kier Starmer of failing to prosecute Jimmy Saville, because he just tried to prosecute journalists. It was truly an awful thing to say, and completely random and pointless

motherofgodhaudyerwheesht · 31/01/2022 20:14

Given some staffers diligence in saving photos and emails ( of crimes in Downing Street), just wondering whether /how long it will be before any transcripts of exchanges between The Met and No 10 are leaked.

Whatever you thought of the Met before, this (i.e. "investigation will not take more than a year" - implying it will certainly take months - whilst basically citing the volume of evidence as justification 🙄) absolutely stinks.

I don't believe it took a whole year to investigate the unlawful weddings and each guest that attended them in lockdown. It was the host that got prosecuted and fined. Pronto. FFS.

AlexaShutUp · 31/01/2022 20:15

There is clearly something horribly wrong with our parliamentary system

How is it that Ian Blackford can get kicked out of the house for stating what we all know to be true - that Boris misled parliament - while Boris gets away with a completely untrue allegation about Keir Starmer failing to prosecute Jimmy Saville?

Have we really come to the point where it's OK for politicians to lie as much as they please in the house, just as long as they don't actually call each other out on it?

It's a fucking disgrace.

hotdogsjumpingfrogs · 31/01/2022 20:18

Exactly @AlexaShutUp !

What can we do to complain about it?

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 31/01/2022 20:27

I don't get why the Met are saying their investigation will take a year. What is there to investigate, Sue Gray has already done all the legwork. All the Met need to do is read her account of each event, decide if it was a breach of the rules and then issue fixed penalty notices to everyone her report lists as being there. A days work at most even allowing for an extended tea break.
