@ArseInTheCoOpWindow

When Labour were in power they showed no interest in the public closed schools made huge schools and let classes get bigger

Did they? I must have missed that. I was a secondary teacher then. Class sizes were smaller, equipment was replaced, there were loads of grants you could tap into for schools. Loads of support staff, education was well funded.

I left last year. Sick of huge class sizes, broken equipment, no support staff.

The differences between teaching under a Labour government and a Conservative government were like night and day!

Under Labour l felt empowered, that all kids could achieve and enjoy school. Under the Tories it’s just been a pretty miserable skint experience, with both kids and teachers fed up.

I really wish I could "like" this post at least a dozen times

What was that dig about drug taking all about?

ancientgran · 31/01/2022 17:01

@derxa You might think having Johnson as PM is like choosing icecream I can only say I think the comparison is sickening. If you think choosing a PM is in anyway like choosing an icecream I am stunned.

I have dual nationality, British/Irish, and I favour a united Ireland, I don't think dividing a country is the right thing particularly given the history of the British in Ireland going back centuries. I'm entitled to my view as you are to yours.

CryingAtTheDiscotheque · 31/01/2022 17:04

@ilovesooty

Why the hell has he suggested that questions about drug taking at no 10 should be directed to the Labour Front Bench?
Oh my - pretty rich coming from him!!
StarbucksSmarterSister · 31/01/2022 17:05

It's bollocks because he has nothing else to say.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 31/01/2022 17:06

I'm not sure I know about these photos - where are they

The Met has been handed 300 photos taken during the various parties.

RunningFromInsanity · 31/01/2022 17:08

Is Boris bluffing or does he know that the report will clear him?

Pieceofpurplesky · 31/01/2022 17:08

@HangoverSquare

The thing is if he goes I still vote conservative i can't cope with the arrogance and smugness of the Labour party

ok hun

My thoughts too hangover!

Confused I was talking about Blackford who is a fake and a charlatan leading Scotland. I think Johnson should resign

ClaudineClare · 31/01/2022 17:10

@RunningFromInsanity

Is Boris bluffing or does he know that the report will clear him?
Or he knows he is finished and has nothing to lose by continuing to bluster and lie?
ParsleySageRosemary · 31/01/2022 17:10

This is just embarrassing bollocks isn’t it.

Any ordinary minister would have had to resign over this. Ministers have resigned over less. But not ‘our Boris’.

Do I have to admit I come from the same planet as he does, let alone the same country??

CorrBlimeyGG · 31/01/2022 17:12

He's just refused to say who is the cost of his legal advice. Instead he said the police are covering the cost of the police investigation, which clearly is not what was asked.

Benjispruce5 · 31/01/2022 17:12

So embarrassing, arrogant and dismissive of so many who followed the rules. Get him out!

LakieLady · 31/01/2022 17:13

@KaptainKaveman

We are an international laughing stock. I have two siblings living overseas (in 2 different continents) and people think the UK is a banana fucking republic.
I have a friend from France staying at the moment. She says her French friends and neighbours the French think it's like some surreal comedy and that the British had some sort of collective insanity when they elected him.
Benjispruce5 · 31/01/2022 17:15

Echoing the comment of an MP last week. Get Kier in. Rather a lawyer than a liar!

derxa · 31/01/2022 17:16

GatoradeMeBitch · 31/01/2022 17:18

Are you communicating from some alternate universe? Labour have a long way to go until they can compete with the Tories in the arrogant and smug stakes. Who is your Prime Minister over there?

Hen2018 · 31/01/2022 17:19

Ooo, he makes me embarrassed to be British. What an unmitigated dickhead.

They’ve wheeled Nadine Dorries out now.

Benjispruce5 · 31/01/2022 17:19

I think Labour are coming over very well.

callingon · 31/01/2022 17:19

Omg I wish he’d just FUCK OFF. He’s missed his call with Putin - aka doing an important bit of his job- because he’s too busy trying to clean shit off himself but HE JUMPED IN THE SHIT. If he hadn’t pulled any of this crap in the first place he wouldn’t be out there trying to ‘defend’ himself.
It’s so embarrassing.

FarewellNoel · 31/01/2022 17:20

So much hope that by the time I'd got home from work he'd have resigned. Obviously no such luck. I'm not sure how many more opinion polls the Conservative Party need to give him the boot. Anyone who would vote for a party with him at the helm needs give their head a wobble.

saddowizca · 31/01/2022 17:20

I am so disgusted by this, on a human level, not even on a party political level, he really just needs to go.

EngTech · 31/01/2022 17:22

Be careful what you wish for 😳

If she’s got any sense she will, aye.

I 100% agree with this. Under this government teaching has changed for the worse
