Just a Sunday thought remembering how we used to get phone top ups

Rent videos from blockbusters!

tillytoodles1 · 30/01/2022 15:37

CD player.

Feather12 · 30/01/2022 15:39

10 years ago was 2012. Did these things still exist then? I think a big change is that many people don’t really need to leave our homes anymore.

MrsPerfect12 · 30/01/2022 15:53

Cd, dvds, books

Whatsyourfavouritescarymovie · 30/01/2022 15:55

@Feather12 did you really have to say it so bluntly! That stung a bit, I still feel like 2010 was only a couple of years ago.

Blinkingheckythump · 30/01/2022 15:57

@MrsPerfect12

Cd, dvds, books
Yeah I can't agree with that, books are very much needed, especially for children, electronic versions are just not the same
Crayfishforyou · 30/01/2022 15:58

Ipods

Accidentgirlfriend · 30/01/2022 15:58

Heels

LeggyLinda · 30/01/2022 16:00

I still get phone top-ups. Am I doing something wrong?

AppleKatie · 30/01/2022 16:00

Landline (although maybe I was a late ditcher!)

I’d already ditched dvds by then and CDs were just for the car.

RaraRachael · 30/01/2022 16:00

I still have lots of books, CDs and DVDs. I have no idea how to listen to music otherwise Confused

EinsteinaGogo · 30/01/2022 16:06

Train season ticket to 5 days in office ar work job.

grapewine · 30/01/2022 16:10

They will take my books over my dead body.

I don't have TV channels anymore, though.

ChessieFL · 30/01/2022 16:11

We still have CDs, DVDs and lots of books in our house and my husband still gets phone top ups!

ChessieFL · 30/01/2022 16:11

Still got a landline too.

CrimbleCrumble1 · 30/01/2022 16:13

User7698365 · 30/01/2022 16:13

BrambleyHedge · 30/01/2022 16:15

Cheque book for kids clubs subs

WeirdlyKind · 30/01/2022 16:16

I'm still using a lot of these things- books, fuel (though I have a diesel!), landline, CDs.

EinsteinaGogo · 30/01/2022 16:17

SKY tv.

We have Netflix, iPlayer, prime, Apple etc.

Don't need a Sky subscription any more.

Krakenchorus · 30/01/2022 16:17

Usb sticks.

WingingItSince1973 · 30/01/2022 16:18

Landline. Going to Blockbusters on Friday night to rent a dvd. I don't think we even have a dvd player anymore, it's all streamed.

Bananarice · 30/01/2022 16:19

Cash. Yes, we still need cash at certain places.
Oyster card to travel on busses and trains.

User7698365 · 30/01/2022 16:21

I still have Sky alongside Netflix, Apple, Prime, BritBox etc, I like the Sky planner and it's very easy to navigate, also there some things on Sky not anywhere else, I wouldn't want to use Now TV instead.

CrimbleCrumble1 · 30/01/2022 16:24

Cash is a good one, I literally only use cash for tips.
