70 anything feels too early these days. Although he does seem to have had some health issues. RIP Meatloaf.

Sad news. I’ve painted most of my house to Meatloaf. He was a talented musician.
RIP.

I used to play Bat out of Hell in the car driving my boys to primary school. It woke them up and made me smile listening to them singing along. Meatloaf had some brilliant songs.

Did anyone find out what that thing he wouldn't do for love was?

According to Wikipedia:

Each verse mentions two things that the man would do for love, followed by one thing that he will not do. The title phrase repetition reasserts that he "won't do that." Each mention of "that" is a reference to the particular promise that he made earlier in the same verse.[6] The four things he says he will never do are:
• "forget the way you feel right now"
• "forgive myself if we don't go all the way tonight"
• "do it better than I do it with you"

At the song's conclusion, the woman predicts two things that he will do: "You'll see that it's time to move on", and "You'll be screwing around." To both of these, the male emphatically responds, "I won't do that!"

He says in the song 😊

There's other examples of things he wouldn't do in the song too.

His publicist released reports to the music press last night to "hold the front pages", that he was on his deathbed with covid.

OMG, his music was such a big part of my life growing up.

It's all over newspapers, the family statement. I expect the Beeb has a full Obit being polished before they publish anything.

I look forward to Mojo's fullsome Real Gone report next month.

One of my biggest music loves. Im feeling very sad today.

But he wasn't young. He's certainly had a full life

That's the one song I didnt play to my primary school aged kids in the car !

Such sad news. At least he lived his life to the max and brought a lot of people a lot of fun! You can't ask for more than that really.

Very sad. We played BOOH pretty much on a permanent loop for months after it came out.
