So does the repeat letter not go dark grey?

toomuchlaundry · 20/01/2022 07:18

Do you use the same word to start with everytime?

Flocon · 20/01/2022 07:19

@toomuchlaundry

Do you use the same word to start with everytime?
I do
blinder · 20/01/2022 07:19

Can you do previous day’s puzzles? My first one today and got it in four. Hooked!

Grasping · 20/01/2022 07:21

I got it in 3 today.

I use a different word to start each day but I’m easily bored so like to mix it up

Omicrone · 20/01/2022 07:21

Yes, one if my words had a repeat letter in it, I was very confused!

yomellamoHelly · 20/01/2022 07:24

Yes. It threw me too.

likeacoaster · 20/01/2022 07:25

I now start with “adieu” everyday.

Grasping · 20/01/2022 07:26

@likeacoaster

I now start with “adieu” everyday.
I was advised to do that. It lasted 2 days Grin
YesToThis · 20/01/2022 07:27

@ENoeuf

So does the repeat letter not go dark grey?
No, it goes green / yellow. So if you use a word with two es in it, one will stay grey if the answer contains only one e. If the answer has two es, they'll both turn yellow or green.
Citygirl2019 · 20/01/2022 07:29

You can save the link to the website to your phone so it is like an app.

Thunderface · 20/01/2022 07:29

Today's was my worst so far. Previously I've guessed it on the 3rd guess several times, once on the second and a couple on the fourth but today took me 5 guesses.

AuntieStella · 20/01/2022 07:29

I was very cross the day of 'favor'!!

Flocon · 20/01/2022 07:30

I use Atone to start. Lots of vowels.

RosieBdy · 20/01/2022 07:30

I was convinced you couldn't, but got to a point today when I had to as no other options worked! Grin

ENoeuf · 20/01/2022 07:31

@YesToThis thank you I only discovered this two days ago and already have dh and ds using it! Just a bit confused by the coloured squares.

Clevs · 20/01/2022 07:34

@IsolaPribby

I love Wordle , but so wish there was more than one a day!

Also agree about the spoiler today HmmGrin

Different website but it's possible!

Pascha · 20/01/2022 07:35

I cheated a bit and opened it up twice so I could have more guesses Blush. I did technically do it in 6 but with two different starter words.

Clevs · 20/01/2022 07:35

I didn't guess it until the last attempt today, probably one of the hardest since I've started playing!

UnaOfStormhold · 20/01/2022 07:37

Absurdle is wordle's evil cousin (it doesn't actually have a single word in mind at the start, just gives you the squares pattern that reduces the possible words least)

Pascha · 20/01/2022 07:37

I did yesterday's in two goes though.

EarringsandLipstick · 20/01/2022 07:39

Posters are being v annoying with the spoilers for today's one. I've done it did today. But people hate when they get clues.

smellmycheese2022 · 20/01/2022 07:39

[quote JackieCollinshasnoauthority]Yes. Got it in 3 today.

@sanityisamyth

🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

Got stuck on the first two letters for ages!

Mine was quite pretty the other day 😂

The app is a shyster and to be avoided

Actually the app called Wordle was developed 5 years ago and is nothing to do with the current game, nor does it try and infer it does

The developer of the app has donated the money he's got from people downloading it not realising it was unconnected to charity

So actually the opposite of a shyster
