No, it goes green / yellow. So if you use a word with two es in it, one will stay grey if the answer contains only one e. If the answer has two es, they'll both turn yellow or green.

You can save the link to the website to your phone so it is like an app.

Today's was my worst so far. Previously I've guessed it on the 3rd guess several times, once on the second and a couple on the fourth but today took me 5 guesses.

I was very cross the day of 'favor'!!

I use Atone to start. Lots of vowels.

I was convinced you couldn't, but got to a point today when I had to as no other options worked!

I cheated a bit and opened it up twice so I could have more guesses . I did technically do it in 6 but with two different starter words.

I didn't guess it until the last attempt today, probably one of the hardest since I've started playing!

Absurdle is wordle's evil cousin (it doesn't actually have a single word in mind at the start, just gives you the squares pattern that reduces the possible words least)

I did yesterday's in two goes though.

Posters are being v annoying with the spoilers for today's one. I've done it did today. But people hate when they get clues.

The app is a shyster and to be avoided

Actually the app called Wordle was developed 5 years ago and is nothing to do with the current game, nor does it try and infer it does

The developer of the app has donated the money he's got from people downloading it not realising it was unconnected to charity

So actually the opposite of a shyster
