We are cold (not covid) ridden here. So it will be sausage sandwiches with some fruit. I have nearly passed out with boredom, but everyone else seems enthusiastic about it.

I'm trying to eat healthily. Having some grilled turkey sausages, mushrooms and poached eggs. Yawn.

Icantfindanewname · 16/01/2022 14:11

Chicken kebabs, wedges, wraps and salad. Sooooooo sick of this meal, but it is a guaranteed easy and non - whinge meal for us, 2 kids and elderly grandparent! Boneless and skinless chicken thighs marinaded in lemon zest and rosemary, then baked with no fat or oil, so is also quite healthy Halo also make enough to go in sandwiches or wraps for pack ups in the week 😋

LBOCS2 · 16/01/2022 14:16

Roast chicken dinner. I'm so fucking sick of roast chicken but DH keeps buying it because "it's easy" 😫😫😫

jesusmaryjosephandtheweedonkey · 16/01/2022 14:26

I'm having Chinese tonight.
Not going supermarket till tomorrow

Comedycook · 16/01/2022 14:31

Also having roast chicken...chucked some baby potatoes around it...butter, garlic, lemon and rosemary. Will boil some broccoli for kids...I might make a salad for us though

decafforme · 16/01/2022 14:34

Either sausages and mash or chicken in a mushroom sauce with garlic mash

stripetop · 16/01/2022 14:37

Cooked mince yesterday to make lasagne today. Just making it now then it can go in low till later. Salad and garlic bread I think.

blibblibs · 16/01/2022 14:37

Roast chicken, pigs in blankets, parsnips peas and a potato of some sort in giant yorkshire puddings with lashing of gravy

HerRoyalHappiness · 16/01/2022 14:39

Beef stew and potato croquets (I was going to do mash but the kids love croquets)

Inextremis · 16/01/2022 14:39

Yet another roast chicken here - with roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, broccoli and possibly some stuffing. Currently debating whether I can be bothered to make a lemon meringue pie for afters.

DementedPanda · 16/01/2022 14:40

Mince and dumplings with new potatos and veg. I'm sick of making a gravy dinner of any variety so might rebel next Sunday.

2anddone · 16/01/2022 14:46

Another roast chicken dinner here with roast potatoes, parsnips, carrots, peas, stuffing and Yorkshire pudding. We have cheesecake for dessert. I quite fancy beef for a change but dc prefer chicken and as it's just the 3 of us and chicken is cheaper chicken it is!!

StiggyZardust · 16/01/2022 14:49

Roast pork, roast potatoes, purple carrots and squash and curly kale.
I have some cooking apples, so might make a crumble.

WakeUpLockie · 16/01/2022 14:56

Roast 😍 just a chicken breast for DH and DS2 as I’m veggie and DS2 won’t eat any. We’re here for the sides!

LizBennet · 16/01/2022 14:57

Rag pudding and chips. I'm not even keen on it 😑

BHX3000 · 16/01/2022 14:58

Leftover stuffed aubergine, leftover salad, leftover sausages. I am not looking forward to veg having a fridgey-leftover taste Grin I do have some fresh fruit for dessert.

Nonivknamesforcatapillars · 16/01/2022 15:04

Roast pork, roast potatoes, carrots, cauliflower cheese, broccoli and gravy. I’d be more enthusiastic if I didn’t have to cook it. But DH’s roasts aren’t as good as mine.

iklboo · 16/01/2022 15:04

Roast chicken, mash, sprouts, cauliflower, carrots, stuffing & gravy. Not actually had a roast for a while do we're looking forward to it.

Savingpeoplehuntingthings · 16/01/2022 15:07

Another chicken dinner here too.
Roast chicken, roast and mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, broccoli, green beans, gravy and stuffing.
Vienetta for afters because my dinner suggests it's 1985 😂

DrCoconut · 16/01/2022 15:08

Leftover pigs in blankets from the freezer for dc and home made veggie burgers for me. Roast potatoes etc to make a Sunday dinner.

FloatyBoaty · 16/01/2022 15:08

We ARE covid ridden and I’m exhausted so something quick to make ... fajitas for DS. The same filling with rice or corn nachos for me as gluten intolerant. Lots of aioli and chilli on the side for me as taste is very muted.

Am also on sugar detox (started after Christmas, before covid) and have managed to keep it up - today’s the first day I’ve really felt like a proper pudding would be nice though.

Asi1 · 16/01/2022 15:08

Dried spinach and lamb curry, made in the slow cooker with chapatis.

Okbye · 16/01/2022 15:12

Homemade Nandos 😁 It’s my sons absolute favourite! (He prefers my version to actual Nandos 😄)

Chicken thighs marinated (for at least 6 hours) in Nandos garlic dry rub, drizzle of olive oil, onion & garlic powder and salt and pepper
Pitta breads and salad
Chips, halloumi & mini corn on the cob on the side
Oh and of course Nandos Perinaise to go with 😃

Bluebluemoon39 · 16/01/2022 15:14

Going out for a roast dinner as I refuse to cook today.

I plan on having all the extras - cauliflower cheese, stuffing, Yorkshire's - can't wait!

AdaColeman · 16/01/2022 15:18

Italian ham with truffles, mixed bean salad, peppers stuffed with cream cheese, and balsamic tomatoes. Yes, I"m using up all those jars of interesting things I collected at Christmas!! Xmas Wink Xmas Wink

Will have an apero before and maybe cheese and port afterward. Wine Wine
