Another Bloody Downing Street party

JustJam4Tea · 10/01/2022 21:51

So hours after telling us to only meet one other person outside from a different household 100 invited to Downing Street BYO in the garden.

It was unlawful to mix outside. If my employer had invited 100 staff to a garden party we’d have all been arrested.

@Clavinova

merrymouse This thread is about the PM and his government. In 2020 that did not include Labour Party back benchers.

Labour Party back benchers get to vote on Covid restrictions don't they?

@Clavinova I am sure Boris is delighted that he still has at least one person still willing to defend him. It was noticeable today that even the more stupid of his MPs seemed to be struggling to.
Tealightsandd · 11/01/2022 21:09

The real urgent story is why measures to allow us to genuinely live with it (as opposed to die or become disabled with) aren't being put in place?

Mitigation measures enable people to live with dangerous risks. Seat belts and child seats, etc.

With this still new possibly not wholly natural disease, living with it mitigations are masks, vaccine passes, and good ventilation like HEPA filters and corsi-rosenthal boxes.

Notonthestairs · 11/01/2022 21:10

Tealights - Boris is toast any which way you cut it and will be replaced. It's not if.
But yes I'm sure Truss & Sunak are currently delighted (or they'd be publicly spouting the same nonsense as others...)

@Clavinova

MagpiesStoleMyTreasure Ismail Mohamed Abdulwahab was a 13 year old child His own parents were not allowed to sit at his deathbed as he passed

We don't know why Ismail's mother (a widow) wasn't there - the hospital declined to explain at the time.

Its good to hear the latest line from Nasty Party HQ. Thanks for sharing what people there really think about the rest of us.

Yeah Sunak, man of the people, married to a billionaire. 🤣

Whoever replaces Johnson it'll be just as bad, if not worse.

kittensinthekitchen · 11/01/2022 21:15

Can't wait to see the CCTV photos of them all socially distancing.

On its website the hospital repeated the guidance sent to trusts by NHS England that states children are allowed one parent or carer as a visitor.

King’s College Hospital declined to explain why his family were not with him.

Notonthestairs · 11/01/2022 21:20

I don't know why you'd repeatedly post about a young boys death - and not comment AT ALL about the PM having a party and lying about it to the Houses of Parliament. Disgraceful.

Tealightsandd · 11/01/2022 21:24

Yes this.

Oh I know Boris is finished. Even he doesn't want as much death and disability as the ERG does. So they're getting rid of him - to bring in somebody more amenable to letting the pile of bodies stack higher.

Perhaps Rishi Twelve Homes Sunak.

If not him, it will be another equally unappealing prospect.

Let's hope I'm wrong.

Clavinova · 11/01/2022 21:24

Only twice I believe. I think it's reprehensible to swear and make up stuff about a young boy's death for political point scoring.

DuncinToffee · 11/01/2022 21:27

So stop doing it then Clavinova.

Notonthestairs · 11/01/2022 21:27

@Clavinova - you missed the second part of my post...

Why on earth Blojo didn't just come clean from the off, i'll never know, he has now issued so many denials that he just has to keep digging and thats hilarious

It's so odd isn't it? He obviously knows about all the parties he went to. There's inevitably going to be proof, and that proof isn't going to stay hidden. He would've done better to come clean, to say so if he did them in the belief that Downing Street was exempt and to say he now understands how inappropriate it was and then emote furiously. All his way has achieved is a drip drip of lockdown party revelations, across a sustained period, as he clings desperately on. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying seeing him cause this much damage to his party, but it's not smart.

Clavinova · 11/01/2022 21:29

His own parents were not allowed to sit at his deathbed as he passed

The poor boy's father died of cancer about 6 years ago but you couldn't be bothered to read anything about him.

Caroline Nokes, another Tory unhappy with partygate

Well, if she's that pissed off, she knows where to send her letter. Unless she has already of course.

DuncinToffee · 11/01/2022 21:33

Indeed Viking

longwayoff · 11/01/2022 21:34

Really low, Clavinova. Don't you usually have to go out now? Might be an idea.

@Clavinova please do keep repeating that line. It is good for people to hear that the Nasty Party want to move attention from breaking laws that they had recently introduced to the family of a child who died.

The thing is he doesn't care one jot for his party. He only cares about himself and his ego.

That's all very well and good, but Boris is just behaving in the same lying deceitful manner he has done for the rest of his life, so it is a bit rich for those who elected him their leader to suddenly find they don't like him.
