Another Bloody Downing Street party

So hours after telling us to only meet one other person outside from a different household 100 invited to Downing Street BYO in the garden.

It was unlawful to mix outside. If my employer had invited 100 staff to a garden party we’d have all been arrested.

[Labour] MP Kevan Jones defends decision to attend 100th birthday party during lockdown.

Mr Jones said he was invited to an outdoor celebration, organised by the community, for Frederick Herron’s 100th in Quaking Houses, County Durham, on May 10.

People were meant to join in from their own property, but bad weather meant the party was brought inside at short notice, with social distancing strictly kept, Mr Jones said.

Mr Jones said police advice had been sought before the party and officers were present

He added: “This was a small act of kindness organised by the community at Quaking Houses to recognise a debt of gratitude to Second World War veteran Frederick Herron whose 100th birthday happened to coincide with the 75th VE Day Anniversary bank holiday weekend, which I know he and his family greatly appreciated.”

I think most people can see the difference here & the urgency, when your 100yo, time is of the essence.

I don’t really talk about Johnson that much tbh although who is doing this and why is interesting to me

I’ve always been more interested in how we deal with Covid. And yes I have views re restrictions - although these have changed markedly since first lockdown, we are in a different place

I watched the video as well - you can spot the police and the local mayor (Labour).

I don't why people let themselves get diverted.

He has a lot at stake. I have no doubt that if he is no longer PM and leaves under a cloud that his marriage will be at stake.

He will just go back to being a very highly paid columnist. He was under a cloud when they started the relationship (married to someone else), and then there was the police being called to her flat and all the stuff with Jennifer Arcuri.

Whatever she sees in him, it can’t be moral virtue and dependability.
