Sent DH to Aldi with a list of about £40 worth of food.

It’s just pinged on my banking app that he has spent £84! He will be home in ten minutes…

Any guesses what he is coming home with?

I’m going for some sort of middle aisle electric saw that will sit in the shed for the next 10 years unused!

My last shop in Lidl included an extra six jigsaws, a massive bags of pickled onion Mackies crisps and tonne of Ex-Christmas treats (as if I needed more of those!).

Ah, the joys of married life. In the early days long ago, I made the mistake of asking him to go to shop for me. In mellow mood, due to the amount of dope smoked by him and friend, off they trotted, returning with what amounted to the contents of the confectionery and snacks section of the supermarket and a pint of milk. Hope the Aldi surprise is an improvement on that.

Love these threads. I wandered round the Aisle of Dreams in my local Lidl the other day and had to stifle several guffaws.

One or two people did look at me funny, as in "What's wrong with the snorting woman?' kind of way.

My dh was eyeing up a £50 electric pasta maker in Aldi. I’m sure it would make a nice edition to the kitchen gadget graveyard in the attic.
