Our white husky GSD Cross is Stormzy and it suits him.
Our Jug/Shichon cross is called Chill cos he he is laid back - or my son thought he was, lol! He's actually a happy little chappie.

I once walked passed a jogger, he called his dog stinky. I thought that was tight but then the dog doesn't know what the sound means (hopefully)!

Santaisstilleatingmincepies · 07/01/2022 21:36

Toast! I'm unsure whether he's named after Steven Toast or the food...

AnnieSnap · 07/01/2022 21:47

@JojobaFromOctober

Isn’t that rather cruel? Might have been better for you to insist they didn’t do that.

I don't think you can change what happens in a book you are reading by insisting that the people in it behave otherwise.

LOL! I realised that (I had obviously skim read the post) after posting. Sadly, there is no delete button. Mucho apologies 😳
maybloss2 · 07/01/2022 21:51

@IReallyLikeCrows

My friend has a rescue greyhound who came from Ireland. He had never been a proper dog, loved, etc so the name he had - can't even recall what it was now - meant nothing to him and he didn't acknowledge it or answer to it. Then, on being sent out to be rehomed they'd called him James. Again, acted as though it meant nothing to him. She decided he needed a new name, I suggested Seamus which is the Irish form of James and he took to it very quickly. I bloody love his name. He's gorgeous as well and after living in kennels for 8 and a half years it's taken over a year but he's learning to be a dog, does zoomies and everything. I love him dearly.
We had a toy poodle called Séamus! He belonged to an elderly couple who couldn't look after him any more so we acquired him. They called him Shandy, which we didn't like, so changed it to Séamus. We were living in England at the time but when we moved back to Northern Ireland I was a bit worried in case we might have a human Séamus living down the road who might not be pleased to have a silly poodle with the same name. Actually everyone seemed to find it very funny.
