@Philandbill
Actually, it's ROGET, not ROGER.

BinkyBonky · 07/01/2022 19:51

Minton - when naughty then Bad Minton! Although, of course no dog should ever be chastised! 😁

Geekynzmum · 07/01/2022 19:55

We've had a few crackers over the years. 😁
Leia the Siamese.
Han Solo who was a big fluffy grey cat.
Chewbacca the dog who was known as Chewie because he chewed everything!
Honey who was a beautiful golden retriever we fostered.
Choo-choo the dachshund, who used to pull like a train while being walked and could scale 6 foot fences.
Miss Mouse the cat, who was twitching like a mouse when she was born.

Dudley. I have no idea why I like it so much. I heard a lady call it out a few years back and this little short legged red type of basset came scuttling along. It really put a smile on my face.

I had 2 cats who were brothers - Bill & Ted.

My mum and dad had a black lab called Ben, I would just like to point out my dad is called Bill.

Isn’t that rather cruel? Might have been better for you to insist they didn’t do that.

I don't think you can change what happens in a book you are reading by insisting that the people in it behave otherwise.

Rogue (male dog - not named after game of thrones) who is a Japanese Akita. Placid, gentle and awesome dog who just loves to laze and snooze

Notaordinarygirl · 07/01/2022 20:10

My Beautiful German Shepard was named Odin. Suited him perfectly as he was huge and had an amazing presence about him.
Now we have a Bruno and a Sheba (as in Queen of Sheba)

Moneypennysfreedomfund · 07/01/2022 20:10

Spaniel called Pieshop, when he was a puppy and did something naughty his owners DH used to comment that if he did that again he’d end up at the Pieshop ( was a running joke and said affectionately ) normal doggie name abandoned and Pieshop stuck!

Nannyprosecco · 07/01/2022 20:13

This thread has really made me chuckle. I’ve always said if I get a dog then it would be called Shenanigans. But I’m also leaning towards Slasher now 😂

Jenasaurus · 07/01/2022 20:38

@Justmebeingme245

My dog is called Muttley - people always say they love his name :-)
That was my childhood nickname given to me my older sister, something to do with the way I laughed-
Rainyrain · 07/01/2022 20:39

My old springer was called Mildred.
I now have three miniature dachshunds called Richmond, Olive and Neville (Longbottom).

IReallyLikeCrows · 07/01/2022 20:40

My friend has a rescue greyhound who came from Ireland. He had never been a proper dog, loved, etc so the name he had - can't even recall what it was now - meant nothing to him and he didn't acknowledge it or answer to it. Then, on being sent out to be rehomed they'd called him James. Again, acted as though it meant nothing to him. She decided he needed a new name, I suggested Seamus which is the Irish form of James and he took to it very quickly. I bloody love his name. He's gorgeous as well and after living in kennels for 8 and a half years it's taken over a year but he's learning to be a dog, does zoomies and everything. I love him dearly.

Fudgemonkeys · 07/01/2022 20:41

Biscuit Hmm

33goingon64 · 07/01/2022 20:43

Brian. For a little pekinese. Belonged to an older couple - he had a very prominent, very serious job and would come home and greet Brian in his very deep, serious voice and it cracked me up every time.
