Kindle Unlimited.
Spotify.
Nice candles.
Good chocolate.
Occasionally fresh flowers.

JenniferAllisonPhillipaSue · 04/01/2022 19:00

Cancelled Prime.
Massage lady gave up when Covid stopped her working.
Hair is now grey, I'm guessing regular cuts don't count.

Does online food shopping count?

The only indulgence I can think of is that I'll be restarting my Ancestry subscription this year (after taking a year's break).

Chanel05 · 04/01/2022 19:05

An international holiday each year.
High end designer shoes, bag, purse.
Chanel perfume.

I don't have any luxuries like this but definitely interested in acquiring some!

For now, after a rough few years, I consider it a huge luxury to not have to worry about dh's health. I'll settle for that til we have a bit more disposable income!

catfunk · 04/01/2022 19:10

Takeaway delivery once a week
Badedas bubble bath
Occasional 'baby' botox

Chanel05 · 04/01/2022 19:18

Knowing I'll be mortgage free by 35.

‘Does online food shopping count?’

I think everything and anything counts. If it feels luxurious to you then it’s a luxury.

But then what is the definition of luxurious and can it be interpreted? 🤔😂

I'm absolutely howling (and creating the storyboard for it in my head!)

Daisiesandsweetpeas · 04/01/2022 21:48

Books and chocolate.

I rarely eat out (inc. takeaway) or go for coffee, not particularly interested in fashion/beauty, travelling, not much of a drinker. So I like to treat myself to books and nice chocolates. I do use the library as well but I do enjoy treating myself to books.

Oh and not something I get often but when I do, nice quality pyjamas.

GoodnightGrandma · 04/01/2022 21:49

Liz Earle Superskin moisturiser and cheap bag of Epsom salts.

babouchette · 04/01/2022 21:56

Murad moisturiser
A £300 haircut twice a year
And I always have a fancy scented candle on the go, Cire Trudon or Diptyque usually.

I buy all my clothes second hand, use the library, etc etc, but I can't give these things up! I can afford it but sometimes feel guilty about spending the money on myself. They do bring me great joy though.

haveyouopenedyourbowelstoday · 04/01/2022 22:14

For me it's...
Candles and wax melts.
A massage or treatment every 2 months or so.
Hair trimmed, toe nails done brows and lashes dyed every 4 weeks.
Spending time picking my washing liquid and fabric softener as I love beautifully smelling clothes.
My 3 dogs and 2 cats.
Our static caravan.

What are your personal Luxuries ?
UsernameInTheTown · 10/01/2022 06:02

Botox and fillers 3x yearly.

SeeMyLanyardAndWeepBitch · 10/01/2022 06:15

Good quality pure cotton sheets with a high thread count

Books on three or four specific topics related to my main hobbies/passions. Hundreds and hundreds of them. More than any sane person needs but I don't care.I get so much pleasure from them. I could save money by having a much smaller house if it were not for those.

Regular massages and pedicures although they will stop soon, or at least happen much less often.

Elemis Muscle Soak foam bath. Smells like heaven.

Elemis cleansing balm. Ditto.

Aromatherapy Associates bath oils. Ditto.

The occasional salon blow dry just for the hell of it.

A digital magazine subscription called Readly. Absolutely brilliant. For 7 or 8 quid a month it has just about every magazine under the sun, bang up to date with all the back issues as well.

SeeMyLanyardAndWeepBitch · 10/01/2022 06:19

Oh and a constant supply of new notebooks. I buy them in bulk from The Range. I am addicted to them - especially a brand new one. Just opening it and seeing the first virgin page fills me with hope for all the brilliant and useful things I am tell myself I am going to write in it until I start scrawling random rubbish and mixing up all my topics and ripping pages out, then I have to move on to a new one, because the old one has been sullied.

SeeMyLanyardAndWeepBitch · 10/01/2022 06:39

@redglobox

A really good quality planner. Expensive but I use it all day every day so it is nice to have something that feels good. Smile
Ooh. I likey. Which one?

As it's still only early-mid January it might be worth my while.

Inthesameboatatmo · 10/01/2022 07:05

For me it's a beauty box every month. It's my little surprise. And candles I have too many candles
