Flowers most weeks and more audiobooks than I dare admit to.

SueblueNZ · 03/01/2022 19:56

A new pair of prescription specs every six months - I don't need new glasses that often but like having a range and I get them dirt cheap from Zenni optical.
Hair - lowlights and keratin treatment (which I didn't discover until my 60s and it's a game changer).
Gel nails, lash tint and brow tidy 3 weekly.

Theonlyoneiknow · 03/01/2022 20:00

High thread count bedding,
Locally made candles and home fragrance, totally gorgeous,
Good coffee machine and beans,
Gel manicure,
Good red wine,
5 star hotels or restaurants with rooms occasionally.
I work hard and don't go out much, so 🤷🏼‍♀️.

God I'm such a cheap date compared to some on here

We buy nice coffee beans but not mega bucks.
I spend zip all on my appearance. My mum or my sister dye my hair to cover early greys, I get a cheap haircut once a year or so. I've never had a manicure or pedicure and I don't think I've painted my nails since my wedding day. no lashes/brows/botox/fillers. We probably have flowers about once a year (anniversary) or if someone gives them.as a gift, and I've not had a massage since my honeymoon!!

amillionrosepetals · 03/01/2022 20:32

Paying for my newspapers to be delivered at weekends, I like a serious lie-in.
Lindt Nocciolatte chocolate.

BeyondMyWits · 03/01/2022 20:36

Molton brown products... shower gel, body lotion, fragrance and candle, all in the same scent... at the moment Rhubarb and Rose. Lasts all day long.

Malibuismysecrethome · 03/01/2022 20:36

I must confess I love luxuries but pedicures and Sunday lunches out occasionally. I also stay in hotels that are better than my home I don’t do mud or camping.

Crayfishforyou · 03/01/2022 20:43

A subscription for hotel chocolat hot chocolate
Glossybox once a month.
A chocolate fondue in the bath once a week. I use fruit, marshmallows and popcorn in it. It’s powered by a tea light so I don’t need a candle!
Gel manicures, although I do them myself at home.
I make myself nice lunches when I work from home. Ramen, stuffed pasta, falafels and things.

onlychildhamster · 03/01/2022 20:44

Department store makeup/beauty pie subscription
Salon dyed hair
Contact lenses (but quite reasonable from vision direct)
£35-50 dresses (just bought myself a pure silk night gown for £44! And a £28 jumper from Oliver bonas)
Eating out/nice groceries
Kindle books
Synagogue membership
My pet hamster- gets a lot of expensive seed mix and treats.
I have 1 expensive backpack which I bought for excess of £500 but I use the same everyday...

Kindle Unlimited, Ugg slippers, good skincare, cleaner

Howtoworkandplay · 03/01/2022 21:06

I do not spend any money on health or beauty products, don’t smoke etc but I am rather partial to a Mulberry bag or two

TheCreamCaker · 03/01/2022 21:08

ssd I'm similar! I'm not currently earning (recovering from being very ill in the summer)but even when I was, I felt guilty treating myself to much - the odd lunch out with a mate, leisure centre membership, some inexpensive make-up, that's about all.

meadow89 · 03/01/2022 21:11

Salon dyed and cut hair twice a year
Nice bedding
Lots and lots of books
Spotify and prime
My beloved pet and all the best things I can give her inc expensive food
Occasionally lush products
When had more money Botox every six months
Nice wine
Bread from M&S

1positivity · 03/01/2022 21:14

iTunes
Gym membership
Loads and loads of skincare products- although I actually want to whittle it down to a more manageable amount

I don't have my nails done as the time it takes doesn't feel like pleasure to me.

I have my hair done every 8 weeks but also feels like a chore so I don't enjoy it.

I'm going to take some inspiration from this thread though an increase my luxuries. We definitely deserve to have them.

Mookie81 · 03/01/2022 21:15

Neom electric diffuser; spreads a scent much better than a candle.
Nails every 3 weeks.
