Why are you taking the piss? I am actually quite interested in what other people cook as it gives me ideas for the dreaded "what are we eating today" question. No one on this thread seems to be a competitive under-eater. Can we not chat about anything on Mumsnet now?
WildStallyn · 02/01/2022 19:58

Back on track today!

Cornflakes with almond milk
Green smoothie
Homemade veggie soup with a multi seed flatbread

KurtWilde · 02/01/2022 21:25

Still at my mums, so I've eaten a LOT today. Again. I helped her cook party type food today - sausage rolls, spring rolls, mini pizzas etc. Pretty much everything in the freezer that she wants rid of before we go home. So that was this afternoon.

This evening we're helping her finish off her cheese and pickles with some crackers. Copious amounts of tea, and a slab of Christmas cake.

lastqueenofscotland · 02/01/2022 21:35

Butternut squash pie with veg and potato

Poached egg and bacon on toast
Loads of mini shortbread biscuits
Loads of thorntons chocolates
Fillet steak, jacket potato and salad

Actual meals weren’t too bad but still too many Christmas treats knocking about to really start eating healthy. I think I’ll start properly next week.

KurtWilde · 02/01/2022 21:59

Oh I forgot the Thornton's chocolates. I may have eaten a lot of them today.

When we go home from my mums she'll send all the leftovers with us. I think it'll be next weekend before I can start to plan 'proper' meals again.

Yesterday I had a chicken shawarma wrap with chips for lunch and curried parsnip soup for dinner. If anyone likes a kebab, the chicken shawarma was from Tesco and it was really nice - normally I find those boxes of vacuum packed slow cooked food disgusting even from M&S but this was delicious.

Hydrate · 03/01/2022 04:20

We've got a turkey, ham and leek pie in the oven with roast new potatoes, green beans, broccoli and carrots.

I shall try to stay away from the cheese tonight but not making any promises. It just needs to be gone at this point.

sanityisamyth · 03/01/2022 14:29
