If Mumsnet was a woman how do you imagine her? (lighthearted, hopefully)

Just for fun!
Everyone will have a different answer.
To me she has 2 kids. Salary around 50k. Works from home. Lives in a detached house in a nice area.

If MN were a woman I’d expect her to look and be just like Justine MN - funny that. Obviously she’d wear a MN scarf.

Cattenberg · 28/12/2021 10:58

Salary around 50k.

And thinks this is “low” or “average”.

Cam2020 · 28/12/2021 11:05

Tinkly laugh that makes her sound deranged.

iamruth · 28/12/2021 11:05

Wears joules blouses

Taytocrisps · 28/12/2021 11:05

Like Jackie Goodman from Friday Night Dinners - very nosy and gossipy Grin.

RunRunGingerbreadMan · 28/12/2021 11:06

Showers 3 times a day.

Alysskea · 28/12/2021 11:06

Very middle class

flashbac · 28/12/2021 11:09

Big busted and removes her bra as soon as she gets into the house
Hates summer
Hates her in laws
Extremely introverted

Or maybe it's just the threads I click on

MsThinksAlot · 28/12/2021 11:25

What do you mean?

Mumsnet IS a woman.Wink

She likes luxury but pretends not to.
She's educated and financially comfortable but always in debt because she spends more than she has.
She wishes she had more and claims she does.
She hates her job because it isn't personally fulfilling but it's respectable in society, so it will do.
She has 3 children and is broody for 1 more, yet she finds her 3 annoying.
They're in boarding school.
She hates her husband but he helps fund her lifestyle, so he'll do.

She hates and loves her life at the same time.
She drinks and does drugs.
Online is her true outlet because in rl, she can't say what she really thinks.

She only likes women who aren't doing better than her and speaks up for them to feel like she's doing something good in life. If a woman gets a better opportunity that elevates her, she automatically tries to bring her down a peg or two by claiming she's pretentious and snobby.

She's passive aggressive, snippy, gossipy, yet "polite" and "nice" on the surface.

She needs therapy to handle all she's bottled up inside and releasing online.

DoncasterHombre · 28/12/2021 11:26

How many bastards has she done the leaving of?

FanGirlX · 28/12/2021 11:27

Wears a sea salt Janelle, flat black lace up boots, statement necklace.

Has a middle management job in the public sector and advises everyone to go to the union, everytime they have a problem at work. Not realising that the majority of the private sector don't recognise unions. Works flexitime and part time from home and doesn't realise all employers don't offer this.

Is vocal about her left wing credentials but secretly votes Tory.

ChristmasRobins · 28/12/2021 11:29

Thin-skinned, quick to take offence, all ego and no self-esteem.

DropYourSword · 28/12/2021 11:31

Has an absolute “can I speak to the manager” haircut.

DownToTheSeaAgain · 28/12/2021 11:32

She used to be a lot of fun but these days she is pretty bitter and twisted.

DropYourSword · 28/12/2021 11:35

@DoncasterHombre

How many bastards has she done the leaving of?
And cleaners fired. Sent away with a flea in their ear.
WorraLiberty · 28/12/2021 11:39

Short with brown curly hair and glasses.
Dresses a bit quirky and always wears a scarf.
Suffers hugely from anxiety.
Creates a slightly different life online to the one she actually has.
Daily Mail reader in denial.
Fun when she lets her guard down.
Not as easily offended in real life as she is online.

ItWorriesMeThisKindofThing · 28/12/2021 11:39

Emma Thompson but in middle management rather than acting.

WorraLiberty · 28/12/2021 11:40

@Alysskea

Very middle class
Or all fur coat and no knickers Xmas Wink
AdaColeman · 28/12/2021 11:45

She wears pearls, ready to clutch.
She feeds her family on curries made in her slow cooker, baked potatoes, and meals of picky bits, with fajitas and all the trimmings as a special family treat.
She’s keen on donating to the local food bank, and thinks all lonely people should volunteer for something at Christmas as a form of self help.
Her children don’t have hyphenated names.
She shares house hold tasks 50/50 with her partner, and refuses to take on any of his mental load.

APJ1 · 28/12/2021 11:47

For some reason I've always pictured the average Mumsnet user as looking like Fiona Bruce!

MaryAndHerNet · 28/12/2021 11:47

I think she'd look just like Betty from Corrie. She'd be wonderfully loving and caring, but you piss her off and she won't be shy to let you know. She'd also pull you down a peg or two if you need it and tell you straight to stop being a twat.

Crazykatie · 28/12/2021 11:58

I’m fairly new to MN and find it’s quite like me, mostly sensible, and practical, can be quite graphic, not as bitchy as female forums can be.
Those that post with problems mostly get friendly and helpful replies even if it is a straight YABU. There are probably more high earners than I expected and less obviously struggling to make ends meet

WorraLiberty · 28/12/2021 12:03

See I don't get that because there seems to be such a high number of MNetters who see normal communication as 'confrontation'.

They'd much rather take to MN to ask 'why someone might've done whatever they did', than actually ask them.

The "Someone knocked at my door earlier, I didn't answer it. What could they have wanted?" threads are hilarious. Like Mumsnet can provide the answer! 🤣

ChristmasRobins · 28/12/2021 12:14

Obsessed with whether other people are judging her while simultaneously judging everyone else.
