If Mumsnet was a woman how do you imagine her? (lighthearted, hopefully)

Just for fun!
Everyone will have a different answer.
To me she has 2 kids. Salary around 50k. Works from home. Lives in a detached house in a nice area.

@DownToTheSeaAgain

She used to be a lot of fun but these days she is pretty bitter and twisted.
Perfect summary!
Nellodee · 28/12/2021 12:18

She has a strange passion for poorly drawn diagrams. She swears like the unholy love child of Roald Dahl and a fleet of drunken sailors.

This is actually me. Exactly me. Worrying....are you spying on me?
CremeEggThief · 28/12/2021 12:28

Capable, cheerful, calm and a bit brisk. A proper adult who can handle all responsibility. Unlike me!

MsThinksAlot · 28/12/2021 12:34

I like how OP write "lighthearted (hopefully)"

Because you know that's not really going to happen.😅

Drives 2 brand new 4x4s but on hock, has a husband who works away frequently but doesn't mind as she's bored of him or thinks he's an arse - he's her boyfriend from uni whom she married when getting engaged was still exciting (and she wanted to be young and thin in her wedding photos). She buys Christmas presents that are thoughtful knickknacks from the John Lewis home range - classics but not expensive. She's one redundancy cheque away from penury but let's her friends think they're doing very nicely, thank you very much...

Magnited · 28/12/2021 12:52

Not like Mrs Doubtfire.

VladmirsPoutine · 28/12/2021 13:36

She'd be exactly like Emma Thompson.

Heartbroker · 28/12/2021 13:39

Neurotic, insecure and overweight.

Pumpkinstace · 28/12/2021 13:47

Has a husband that cheats.

BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation · 28/12/2021 13:52

Middle class and rather prissy

Ibane · 28/12/2021 14:01

@RampantIvy

Big busted and removes her bra as soon as she gets into the house Hates summer Hates her in laws Extremely introverted

Or maybe it's just the threads I click on

Yes, she rips off her bra, which she views as a form of torture, the moment the front door closes behind her — the door which will remain firmly closed until she re-emerges for work the next day, as she never opens it for unexpected callers or packages — and puts on pyjamas as her day clothes are also mysteriously uncomfortable.
Letsallscreamatthesistene · 28/12/2021 14:15

I think she'd be bloody awful and id eye roll at her quite a lot

LaBellina · 28/12/2021 14:18

Talk and slim although she needs to do effort for it
Wears Boden and Joules, a never full Louis Vuitton bag and naice trainers
Showers 2 times per day and has no loo brush
She only shops at Waitrose
She’s NC with most of her family

furbabymama87 · 28/12/2021 14:20

There's a certain type I picture on many posts on here, middle aged, uptight, condescending look upon her face.

flashbac · 28/12/2021 14:21

@FanGirlX

Wears a sea salt Janelle, flat black lace up boots, statement necklace.

Has a middle management job in the public sector and advises everyone to go to the union, everytime they have a problem at work. Not realising that the majority of the private sector don't recognise unions. Works flexitime and part time from home and doesn't realise all employers don't offer this.

Is vocal about her left wing credentials but secretly votes Tory.

Yes! Especially the secretly votes Tory bit!

midsomermurderess · 28/12/2021 14:29

Lowish self esteem, anxious, concerned about what others think of her, needing lots of validation, prone to being suggestible, and to saying 'so you're saying ...' as a response in debates while taking general observations very personally.

EezyOozy · 28/12/2021 15:22

Very, very uptight.

VladmirsPoutine · 28/12/2021 15:25

I absolutely agree votes Tory! Will wax lyrical about the plight of migrants crossing the channel, donating to food banks, the state of social care but deep down inside is a Tory.

Woeismethischristmas · 28/12/2021 15:26

Wearing pearls with hoiked up judgy pants. Easily shocked, booze is generally the answer to any rough patch.

Mumsnet is where all those shy Tories are hiding 😂
RampantIvy · 28/12/2021 15:33

Again, from the threads I click on - afraid of communicating her wants and needs to those around her and ends up playing the martyr. This can be done politely and assertively without sounding confrontational.

Sorry this isn't lighthearted at all, but I feel strongly that a lot of posters need to buy bigger knickers and put them on.

100problems · 28/12/2021 16:02

Has 101 on speed dial so she can make reports that much quicker

Has 111 on speed dial but mostly to see how well they are able to diagnose illness she's already googled

Reports anyone without a kid in the car at the supermarket if they park in a P&C spot

Drives absolutely at all times bang on the speed limit, but slows down on a main road to let people out of side roads (in flowing traffic) because it's good manners whatever the Highway Code may say

Says "snack" and her kids have a "snack" every 5 minutes
