I’m on my own (with the dog Grin) for the next few days. Happy to bore you, the most excitement I’m going to get this Christmas is opening my work Secret Santa present. If you don’t count starting on oestrogen gel, that’s the other thing I’ve got lined up.
Please join me 🤗

Definitely Call of the Midwife. Looking forward to a delicious sob.

Sadly ate lunch v late and too full for snacks as yet....

Tomanyhandbags · 25/12/2021 20:21

Just watching Call the Midwife now fell asleep and just woke up.

BuddhaAtSea · 25/12/2021 20:28

@MuthaFunka61 @Tomanyhandbags @Feedingthebirds1 I’m so sorry to hear, but so glad you’re reaching out.

I inadvertently went AWOL: took the dog for along walk. Then dropped a present for a friend, had a little chat. Had an Indian takeaway, had a nap, watched a movie. Popped round my neighbour’s for a glass of fizz at about 5-ish, walked the dog again, now I’m in pyjamas, slightly tipsy.

Would just like to say thank you to everyone on here especially Buddahfor starting this thread you have helped to make the day bearable and keep me sane, not saying that lightly.

MuthaFunka61 · 25/12/2021 22:09

Here you are as promised, one of the two bedside rugs made with my own fair hands. They're made with recycled denim and've taken around 3 months to complete.
They look much better in real life, obviously.

@Tomanyhandbags

Nightmare before Christmas
Those're ace @Tomanyhandbags!

I have a rule that nothing gets into my home unless it makes me smile,so it's in!

I'm glad you found a solution which works for you,if it works keep on doing it.

Tomanyhandbags · 25/12/2021 22:54

Lots of things make me smile but not always for the right reason I have a weird slightly worrisome sense of humour with a big dose of sarcasm added but never malicious or cruel

MuthaFunka61 · 25/12/2021 23:11

I think your humour would make me smile so you'd be welcome to bring round your wreath, it'd be a bit like show and tell Grin

I'm flagging now,so'm heading off for the evening.
Night all, catch you soon @Tomanyhandbags Flowers

Tomanyhandbags · 25/12/2021 23:17

Goodnight, God bless and sweet dreams

BuddhaAtSea · 26/12/2021 06:26

Good god guys, I am thanking you for joining me! On my walks yesterday I didn’t dwell on the fact that I’m on my own, I was just thinking oh, I wonder what the people on the thread are doing and how easy it is to just go get a takeaway knowing that it’s not just you in the entire world getting a takeaway on Christmas Day. Or that it’s not just me on my own walking the dog. What I am saying that you made me feel like I’m not alone, so thank you very much!

@MuthaFunka61 that’s quite cool, the rug! You just have found it quite therapeutic!

Good morning! Hope you are all having an OK day. I enjoyed #JoinIn, browsing MN and watching TV programmes I wouldn't usually watch. I didn't cook my planned Christmas dinner as I just couldn't be bothered but I did enjoy a short walk.
I have always found Boxing Day worse than Christmas Day, even when I was not alone. I'm trying to keep busy, so have changed and washed the bedding and am about to start a mammoth ironing pile while I watch something mindless on TV. The wet, cold weather today isn't helping so I really don't fancy my usual solution to the blues - a walk.
What is everyone else up to?

Tomanyhandbags · 26/12/2021 10:42

I have just woken up had the best night's sleep that I can remember my first thought, other than I need the toilet, was I wonder how everyone is doing today. Happy Boxing Day to all.
