I’m on my own (with the dog ) for the next few days. Happy to bore you, the most excitement I’m going to get this Christmas is opening my work Secret Santa present. If you don’t count starting on oestrogen gel, that’s the other thing I’ve got lined up.

@pastypirate hmmm, demotivated is a feeling I know well. I stopped looking after myself, it took me months to book a haircut. I’m thinking actually painting my nails is a step too far. But if you do yours, I’ll do mine. And post the proof!

Can I join please? Just me and ddog until 28th, both AC at inlaws and its been a crap year with parents dying and DP and I splitting up. I wanted to plan a nice weekend but a few things happened and i didnt get a supermarket delivery or out to the shops so it's whatever's in the freezer plus wine. Went for a long walk today so at least dog feels festive.

This is the most normal I've felt for weeks carry on rambling

Where I am it’s truly awful, the whole day. Can I just say I cracked the hummus and mini cheddars? One for me, one for the dog. Forget I mentioned parkrun.

@misscockerspaniel who told you you can’t have alcohol? The stitches are dissolvable anyway, but they won’t dissolve in alcohol. Unless you’re on some medication that won’t allow you?

Oh, no, I'm not worried about the stitches dissolving but I want to avoid alcohol whilst taking pain killers. I will make up for it next weekend.

Yeah thanks @BuddhaAtSea for the weather tip. It looks like it will be grey and wet all day. Still gonna head out though as staying in the house all day makes me feel very glum. And also if I walk I'll feel virtuous and can eat all the mince pies. See you all tomorrow!

I did it. I’m a woman on HRT. I’m not going down without a fight. It was a very mindful moment, when I just went: sod that for a game of soldiers, I need my brain, my mood, my joints, my sleep, my sanity, myself back. Also, when the hell did they make prescriptions £9 something?!!! I keep seeing my mother’s disdain: ‘I took nothing, I went through menopause without a problem, I just stopped eating bread!’ There is absolutely no point in even trying to explain. I’m very mindful of not turning into my mother. And then I look in the mirror 😂😂😂

@puppylambkins there is a thread (? Is that what they’re called?)on Twitter or Instagram, can’t remember, where people post photos of the spare rooms they’re relegated to at Christmas. The best was this guy’s single bed with peppy pig duvet, he was in his mid 40s and 6 foot.

Can I join in? My partner was supposed to be home this evening but he has spent the past few days With his parents, he hasn't returned as his sister was first to go down with norovirus and it has gone through the house. 6 people affected now so they are isolating until it passes.

I'm curled up on the bed watching YouTube and MNing in my gingerbread man onesie Dinner is part cooked and in the fridge. Cats are currently feasting on turkey. Presents under the tree and will have a nice quiet day with phone calls and video calls and planning to go to my neighbours tomorrow evening where a lot of alcohol will be consumed.
